Grak
General Grak (a.k.a. King of the Bees (in the Donneshire Hills))
The exact birthplace of the imposing half orc soldier known as Grak is unknown, but it can largely be surmised that he hails from somewhere within the black Land of Dagrazt itself.
As a child he knew only pain and struggle, a near unendurable existence where only the strong survive. From his earliest days he was set on the path of violence, trained to kill as a soldier in the forces of Dagrazt. As he rose through the ranks he gained notoriety for his toughness and an almost legendary reputation as being hard to kill. Where lesser men and orcs fell, Grak thrived. Eventually this prestige piqued the ire of one of his superiors, Trothgar Merka who repeatedly sent Grak on suicide missions to advance the cause of Dagrazt. Much to Captain Merka's amazement, Grak always returned.
Amongst his many exploits in the War Against the Darkness, Grak and his unit, the Unrelenting Unmerciful, played a pivotal role in the killing of the Dwarven Prince of Earthhome. This act has angered the Dwarven King Azaghal Splithelm to pursue zealous retribution against all orc and goblinkind, even now that the War has ended.
After the war ended, Grak was abandoned and left for dead by his old Captain and company, eventually finding his way to the Hold of the Hammerlord. While taking mercenary jobs in the hold he received orders from the Dagraztian spymaster Ull-Erran. Ull-Erran made promises of power to Grak in exchange for freeing the imprisoned Manfred Von HughGraven and Battis Hedgecrook.
After escaping from the Hold together, Grak received further orders to watch over Manfred in an attempt to forge stronger relationships between Dagrazt and Volinsk. Grak was promoted and given charge of a unit of soldiers who joined with him at Ilserock. Since their arrival they have been through many trials and now call themselves the Liberated Souls.
More recently, Grak's ties to Dagrazt were severed when he was contacted by an extraplanar being known as the Lord of the Broken Horn. While the exact motivations of the Lord remain unknown, he and Grak share a unique bond, one that seemed to strengthen recently, manifesting in Grak with frightening new powers, and a more intimidating appearance.
Grak, newly raised to the position of "General", now commands his force from Tarquinrock where they act as soldiers and a police force within Trinsk.

Despite his intimidating appearance and violent background, Grak is actually quite intelligent and has proved on many occasions to have a shrewd and strategic mind.
