Earthhome

Buried in and under part of The Great Western Mountains is the dwarven Citadel of EarthHome. Ruled over by King Azaghal Splithelm and Clan Splithelm, these expansionist dwarves have set up a series of small strongholds and outposts around their citadel and within the Plains of Despair. From these forts and watchtowers, they pursue a zealous war against the fell humanoids in the Plains of Despair.   These dwarves are more removed from the other free cities and countries of Malatoria, save for Volinsk, whom they count as their biggest trading partner, and Khand, through the mountains to the west.   After King Azaghal's eldest son was murdered at the hands of Dagraztian orcs, EarthHome has a deep hatred of evil humanoid races. Their refusal to back down led to large losses in their population. Once their population topped 70,000 but now is approximately half that.
