Tarquinrock
Named after Tarquin Von HughGraven the First, Tarquinrock is the Ducal Seat of Trinsk and the ancestral home and castle of the VonHughGraven Family. It is perched upon a small plateau with a winding road leading up to its heavy gates. It is composed of two spires, square walls that enclose the keep proper, and a fenced in graveyard and catacomb system. Tarquinrock was built upon and around a large deposit of black granite that winds its way up the structure and foundation of the castle. The naked rock (from which the castle partly gets its name) can be seen in a number of different rooms of the castle including its court room.
Alterations
The court room contains one of the more striking features found in any Volinskian castle, a black granite statue of a hooded, kneeiing angel, its wings spread high overhead. This statue was once the planetar Vanar-Hale, whose dying body was kept on the material plane and converted through magic into a shrine of Empterion.
Architecture
One of the towers in Tarquinrock, the Guard Tower, is topped with crenellated battlements. The other, taller spire is the Duke's tower, it is topped with a peaked roof and features a balcony that overlooks Trinsk below.
Tarquinrock also contains a striking chapel, with grand stained glass windows devoted to the gods of the Pantheon.
