Trothgar Merka

Trothgar Merka was the human commander of the Unrelenting Unmerciful, a company that fought for the Land of Dagrazt during the War Against the Darkness. 
Although his company was known for their brutality, Trothgar himself was a cunning opportunist, and often let his men do the dangerous and dirty work for him.  One of his subordinates was Grak, whom Trothgar often sent on suicide missions, only to be frustrated by Grak's annoying tendency to survive. Trothgar was not completely above getting his hands dirty, however, and was a capable fighter when it came to blows.
After the war, Trothgar led many of his company into the Sands of Despair where they led many successful raids as a bandit group known as the Forgotten Skulls.
He eventually met his end while exploring the ruins of an abandoned blue dragon's cave, where he was whisked into a extraplanar space and decimated by a strange arcane being.
