Battis Hedgecrook
(a.k.a. Battis Serogg, Pectin Luondo, Bernard Hurley)
Battis grew up as "Battis Serogg", an orphan on the streets of Rooktown in the Donneshire Hills. As a ward of Crawdington's Orphange, his early life was filled with toil and hardship, and the young halfling could not wait to escape to a life of adventure. When he came of age and was discharged from the orphanage he wasted little time. While others his age in The Donneshire Hills were gearing up to fight against Dagrazt in the War Against the Darkness, Battis let the wind (and his natural roguish cunning) take him on paths far and wide.
During his travels he met with Manfred Von HughGraven who taught Battis to read and write using the holy text of Empterion. This marked an important moment in the halfling's life, one that would see him becoming increasingly devout, even zealous as the months and years passed.
Newly returned to The Donneshire Hills, Battis has taken up residence in his rediscovered familial home, Hedgecrook Manor.
Battis is romantically involved with Talia Nebacchus, a cleric of Empterion.
