Crawdington's Orphange

Because of its location within the Donneshire Hills, Crawdington's Orphanage became a necessary (if unwanted) institution. Many half elf babies, the unwanted offspring of human parents and the Elves of The Great Forest, as well as a number of orphaned halflings found their way to this miserable locale. The orphanage passed from three generations of Crawdington's before it was consumed in a mysterious fire. Although his remains were never found, it is assumed that Botho Crawdington died in the blaze. Although many of the Rooktown men and ladies would never personally admit to it, the general consensus of the town was "good riddance". Shortly after the orphanage's destruction, the land was purchased by Dolly Bronzebuckle, who quickly built the Sleeping Babe Inn on the site.
