Elves of The Great Forest

Within its vast borders, The Great Forest is home to the largest population of elves in Malatoria.  The elves consider themselves protectors of the forest and with much of the forest beset with evil sylvan beings, they have developed a strict martial discipline.  They are distrustful of outsiders and strangers, with elven ranging parties aggressively pursuing any who encroach on the borders of the forest.  Of all the denizens of the forest, the elves have forged the strongest alliance with the Halflings of the Donneshire Hills. During the recent war with Dagrazt, the elves and halflings banded together to create elite fighting units at the edge of the Great Forest, ultimately helping to turn the tide back at the final Battle of the Rauros Bridge.
The Elves of the Great Forest make their capital in the beautiful city of El-Danweith and are ruled by Queen Emelaith and her son Prince Fingolfin.

Structure

The Elves are ruled by Queen Emelaith, who holds sway over all counsel and non military matters for the Great Forest.  Her son, Prince Fingolfin, takes the lead on all ranging and military matters.
