Halflings of the Donneshire Hills
The Halflings of the Donneshire Hills live in bucolic safety, surrounded and protected by the Elves of the Great Forest. Its not uncommon to find families of these friendly folk spread throughout the rolling countryside of the Donneshire Hills, as well as their towns of Northfarthing, Rooktown, and the more rustic Bosky Dells.
Not nearly as suspicious as the elves of the Great Forest, the halflings greet most strangers with warm hospitality: good food, strong ale, and excellent pipe weed. Their kindness should not be mistaken as passivity however, for when riled up these diminutive folk present quite a formidable force. The elves know this, and it helps them stay calm when faced with the apparent Halfling laziness.
The elves watch over the Donneshire Hills as a protectorate of sorts, and let the Halflings live and govern themselves as the small folk see fit in most matters. In most matters, comfort is the rule. When external threats or outside conflicts do arrive (in cases like The War Against the Darkness) the halflings are subject to the call of the Elvish Prince Fingolfin.
Structure
The Donneshire Hills are governed by Mayor Fatty Pudgebuck with outside council from Elvish Ambassador Etheron Glamriganne.
Culture
The Halflings enjoy warm food, strong ale, good weed, and tall tales. They greet most strangers warmly and openly.
