Battle of the Rauros Bridge

The Battle of The Rauros Bridge marked the end of the war between Dagrazt and the free peoples of Malatoria known as the War Against the Darkness. 
At the bridge, Lord Gar led the forces of Dagrazt against the assembled forces of Stoneheart, Thallaspur, the Elves of The Great Forest, the Halflings of the Donneshire Hills, and the kingdom of Elendar.
The Battle lasted for nearly a week with heavy losses on all sides. Its breaking point came when Elendarian hero Talon Ironstar gave his life delaying Lord Gar's forces from crossing the bridge. Lord Gar defeated Talon Ironstar in combat but the delay gave a team of Priests of Slagemon time to combine their might and conjure waves of divine fire that obliterated the spine of the forces backed up behind their leader.
Although the war would last for weeks afterwards, this battle is largely considered the final turning point. The forces of Dagrazt were essentially scattered and rebuked back to the lands whence they came. Lord Gar would return to the city of Bariadan, where his power slowly waned until he was defeated at the hands of a group of heroes.

Outcome

This was the decisive battle in the war between the goodly folk of Malatoria and the forces of Dagrazt.

Aftermath

Dagrazt's armies were forced to retreat back to the cursed lands. Dagrazt would also soon lose his easternmost foothold, the city of Bariadan.

Legacy

A white marble statue to fallen hero Talon Ironstar atop his horse with sword drawn has been erected on the banks of the River Rauros.
