Talon Ironstar

Champion of Hysterion and the People of Elendar

Talon Ironstar was a paladin/champion of Hysterion, hero of Elendar, and Captain of the Standopolis Guard. After a legendary career as an adventurer, he settled into Standopolis as a hero of the people and was awarded an honorary Dukedom by King Orlen the Wise. In addition, Talon was part owner of Mordrem's Bushy Beard, an Inn/Tavern of great renown and a destination for adventurers from all over. To this day Talon's wife, Duchess Elle Ironstar helps to manage the bar.
As a child, Talon's father was falsely drowned as a heretic by the corrupt Hierophants of the Church of Hysterion in Standopolis. Banished from the city, young Talon and the rest of the Ironstar Family, were forced to work as laborers in whatever jobs they could find. Young Talon soon proved his mettle and was able to find work in the Elendarian army. Martial prowess came naturally to Talon, and he soon rose through the ranks on the front between Elendar and Gneiss.
Years later, Talon was able to clear his father's name and restore the honor of the Ironstar name. Despite his father's tragic end, Talon and his sister Dorsi Ironstar, never lost their faith in Hysterion, and when they returned to Standopolis they were given honored positions within the Church. During this time Talon also took his familial birthright, the legendary sword, the Song of the Razor.
For many years, Talon fought for Elendar, eventually losing his life at the Battle of the Rauros Bridge to Lord Gar. His sacrifice, however, turned the tide of the battle and helped put a definitive end to the War Against the Darkness.
Talon's body was removed from the field by a Planetar, and taken to the Halls of Celestia. In the time since his death, his spirit has been seen fighting fo just causes on the Outer Planes.

Ended widespread corruption in the Church of Hysterion in Standopolis. Helped retrieve the Tapestry of Dal-Takar. Slew the mad wizard Tarquinian.

Failures & Embarrassments

While Captain of the Guard of Standopolis Talon was unable to stop a prison break at The Rock Impervious, leading to the escape of the Land of Dagrazt' master assassin, Erachnea. This event irrevocably widened an already expanding gap between Elendar and Gneiss.
