Liberated Souls
The Liberated Souls are a company of orc, half-orc, and human soldiers in the service of General Grak in Trinsk. They were once known as The Black Tusk a company that fought for the Land of Dagrazt during the War Against the Darkness. When the War was over, they received orders from Dagraztian spymaster Ull-Erran to march to the north and pledge their service to Grak, while helping him maintain a relationship with Duke Manfred Von HughGraven.
They have lost many of their number since they were initially sent north, but still hold enough soldiers to be an effective defensive and policing force in Trinsk; roughly three platoons of 20 each. Recently though, some of their more extreme policing actions (and accusations of rape) have put them at odds with the citizenry of Trinsk. A crackdown on their behavior from Grak and a public declaration (which included a troll burning) from Duke Manfred have calmed the city for the moment, but old habits die hard with the Liberated Souls, and most wonder how long their more peaceful ways can continue.
