Carynth

Carynth was founded in 6090 by Cerron of the House of Thendore, who ruled it followed by his son, Celebran. However, in the year 6115 it was conquered by Estaire and made to pay fealty to the other city until it was liberated by Queen Ithyra in 7030. The Ithyran Dynesty ruled it for three hundred years after, until was conquered by the Avar tribe. However that did not last, and less than a generation later, Carynth was independent again. However, it gradually declined in power and was abandioned during the Dark Ages.

Demographics

The city was inhabited by Estriens for the most part, and never became a trade center like Estaire even though it was located on a popular trading route. Instead, it mined iron.
