Elf
The elven people are some of the oldest species to be born on Laeriss. The term elf includes many different species of elf such as the Wood Elves, Drow, High elves, and Sea Elves. It is said the original elves were the Sea Elves, created Ktuywayit and originating in the oceans of Laeriss. As they migrated all across Laeriss they adapted to their environment, being incredibly versatile and able to change to fit wherever they moved. The ones who migrated to the mountains became the High elves, the ones of the deep became the Drow, the ones of the forest became the Wood Elves, and the ones who stayed in the ocean became known as the Sea Elves. Elves have a close connection to the fay and the faywild, they are naturally incredibly beautiful no matter what kind of elf they are. Most elves also have natural born magical power and abilities.

Biological Traits
Male and female elves are nearly the same height and males are just barely heavier than females. Though a female elf's face is usually more slender with more pronounced cheekbones than a male elven face.
Genetics and Reproduction
Elves reproduce similar to any other mammal, though they do not reproduce very often or have many children since their lifespans are naturally so long.
Growth Rate & Stages
An elf is considered an adult once they reach the age of around a hundred years old, they are then gain a new adult name. Although elves actually mature to their full size around the age of a human, usually in their teens or twenties.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Much like most other sentient species elves are omnivores and can eat all types of foods. There are very few elven barbarians as most fight with magic, an elegant blade, or a bow.

Social Structure
Much like every other successful sentient species, elves live in groups and settlements for the most part as they are social creatures. Though there is much classism and wealth disparity in the elven society of the High elf, Sea Elf and Drow people, they are wise from their long lived lives and do not appreciate petty squabbles or arguments.
Facial characteristics
Elves have strong cheekbones and quite angular faces. They do not ever have facial hair which only shows their perfectly accented chins and usually quite long face shape. Their noses are thin, their eyebrows are sharp, and their face is naturally beautiful but strong looking.

Elves live all other Laeriss, though while certain groups mainly reside in certain areas, many elves travel throughout the world of Laeriss.

Elves are naturally quite intelligent, this is also increased by the fact that they live for so long and gain so much experience and knowledge.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Elves are known for having very keen senses of hearing and sight, they are incredibly perceptive and commonly used as scouts or archers. Even better though is the fact that all elves have the ability to see in the dark regardless of light.

Naming Traditions
Each different ethnicity of elf has their own unique naming traditions, elven names are usually quite intricate and long. They flow with beauty and elegance. An elvish last name is usually two elven words put together, these words are translated into common for the version of the last name which may be used for speaking to non-elves.
Major Organizations
The Wood Elves belong to many different nations as they are located in forests all across Laeriss. The High elves are native to The Ilkasias Republic and the Drow live within the The Akabis Realm. Meanwhile the Sea Elves reside within The Surrani Empire and The Deep Kingdom.
Beauty Ideals
While the specifics vary between different types of elf, newly all elves have very high beauty standards. They are naturally beautiful yet only wish to accentuate their beauty even further, taking extreme pride in their looks compared to the other races of Laeriss.
Culture and Cultural Heritage
Elven culture is extremely varied throughout the different sub-groups of elf. While High elves are known for being elitist and pompous, Wood Elves are known for their wisdom and grounded qualities. Though elves are not always polite to those they see as lesser than them, they are still grateful and are known for having good manners, as they have lived long lives they do not react strongly to petty insults and are not easily exited.
History
The Elves were born from the god Ktuywayit into the seas of Laeriss. Over time they migrated out and many new forms of elf were created. As each type of elf believes that they are better than every other type of elf, they constantly war and feud. The High elves and Drow of the west Zerion Mountains constantly war over the area of land. While the Drow and Sea Elves are quite reclusive, the High elves explore Laeriss more than the aforementioned two and the Wood Elves journey the most throughout the lands.
Common Myths and Legends
It is believed by all that the original elves are the Sea Elves created by Ktuywayit, god of water. It is said that in the creation of the first few species to live on Laeriss Ktuywayit wanted to create a race of people who were intelligent, sophisticated, and had an advanced culture, so he created the elves in his own ideology of the perfect creature.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
While Wood Elves are generally seen as being a bit kinder and more accepting of other sentient species, the other three primary types of elves can be a bit more rude. The elven people are quite prideful in their greatness and often will disregard other species, especially ones which lack magical capabilities or ones that they view as being barbaric. Since elves are some of the oldest sentient humanoid creatures to live on Laeriss, the ones who came into existence more recently are commonly seen as lesser by them. Though they do give some credit to other races and are not completely unreasonable.

Elves are built slender and tall, they are graceful with very fine features. They are much lighter than other races for their height because of how slender their body is.
