Falema college
The Falema college was once the greatest place of learning on all of Laeriss. It was created by the High elves of the west Zerion Mountains thousands of years ago and carries centuries of history. It was destroyed in the Elven wars between the Drow and the High elves in the battle of Falema college, though it is believed this event was instigated by The shadow legion for their own gain.
Purpose / Function
The Falema college was created by the High elves in order to make an academy which could educate the greatest minds on Laeriss to reach their full potential. It was also created to store knowledge with its many libraries.
Alterations
The Falema college has been expanded and has had more wings added over the generations of students which have studied in it. It has gained many new rooms, observatory's, dorms, dining rooms, libraries, and labs among other things. Over time more and more paintings, books, candles, lights, and decorations were added to the college as well, in its last days before it was destroyed it was a colorful and bright place, beautifully decorated with lavish materials and items.
Architecture
The college was very tall, it was so large it appears like a castle, with wings and towers interconnecting in beautiful patterns. The inside was bright and colorful, red, blue, and purple carpets, gold and silver plated candelabras and chandeliers with glimmering crystals hanging down. Each brick was pure white Snowstone, perfectly placed and perfectly symmetrical. Often gold was used all over in fabric, making patterns on walls, illustrious picture frames, for murals, and for furniture. The furniture was lavish and well built, often made of dark ebony wood carved with intricate details. Outside beautiful courtyards with fountains, bushes, hedge mazes and sculptures, and flowers of every color thrived, enchanted with druidic magic to survive on the cold mountains. Unfortunately as much as the college was once a sight to behold unlike any other, now it lays in ruins, no longer as beautiful as it once was.
History
Falema college was created thousands of years ago by the legendary olden Falaem council of great spell casters. They wished to create a school like no other which could raise bards, scholars, mages, and those who wished for knowledge, and they succeeded when they created the college. Since then it has expanded, growing in size and wealth over hundreds of years and many, many generations of student. Over the years many great and powerful influential people trained there, or many great people became simple teachers of the college students. In the year 5732 the college was attacked by the Drow and destroyed, most consider this event a simple byproduct of the war between the Drow and the High elf people but in truth it was started by The shadow legion manipulating the Drow to destroy it for their own gain. To kill the powerful mages of the future, to steal the knowledge and wealth held, to weaken the people of The Ilkasias Republic.
