The First Battle in the Elven Wars

Of course the relative peace between the Ilkasias colony and the Akabis colony did not last for long. Slowly tensions grew, mistrust began to build, and each of the colonies desired new land, the Elves of the Zerion Mountains. The two groups battled on a frigid morning on the mountain during a powerful blizzard. This battle would be the beginning of the long war between the Ilkasias and Akabis Elves.

As the two groups of Elves resided on the Zerion Mountains in close proximity to each other, they began to worry that the others would attack unexpectedly. Each colony prepared for war as they waited for the opposing side to make the first move. In an argument between Ilkasias and Akabis, they agreed to plan a battle to happen in the coming days, to resolve who was the greater leader. Though many disapproved of their leaders decisions, they were powerless to do anything but participate in the war. As the blizzard started and the bloodshed begun, both sides realized this would not settle their feud once and for all; this was just the beginning of a great war between two Elven nations descended from one lost hunting party. The Ilkasias Elves won, not ending the argument between Ilkasias and Akabis, but filling Akabis with new rage and vengefulness as her forces retreated from the battlefield.
