The Expedition to the Ivory Forest

While for many years the Elves lived almost exclusively near and in the ocean, eventually a group of the Sea Elves had an expedition to find new lands on the surface, and stumbled upon the Ivory Forest.

It had been thousands of years since the Elves found themselves on the world of Laeriss, the Elvish language was still crude and not particularly well developed. Up until the expedition most Elves had never been more than a mile away from the ocean before. Yet a group of about one-third of the Elven population decided to go on an expedition to new lands, stumbling upon the Ivory Forest.
