Harlan is beefy, and could be mistaken for a dockworker if it weren't for all the knives.

Harlan wears an impressive set of mutton chop sideburns that accentuate several dueling scars and pock marks.

Harlan has a rather expensive short sword that he is obscenely proud of; it is a silver-plated mithril blade that keeps a razor's edge.

Personal history
Harlan Zazerac was born to a barely-connected member of the family, given no privileges or wealth growing up, and orphaned himself by stabbing at the tender age of eight. He lived for a while as a cutpurse until Clan Zazerac sponsored his Becoming.
For his Becoming, he was sent into the wilderness to capture enough meat to fill a new salt-store that had been built in case of a siege. He never told the city fathers that he'd accomplished his task far ahead of schedule by simply sacking caravans coming into the city. Most of the meat he'd provided was stolen - the rest was a convenient method of making the bodies disappear.
After his Becoming, he was swiftly adopted into the Zazerac Family and has been running Harlan Danger's Deadheads, a group of low-rent footpads, extortionists, and second-rate assassins.
Sexuality
Harlan spends a fair amount of money in taverns trying to impress drunk women, but always keeps enough to fall back on and spend on prostitutes when he inevitably gets shot down.

Harlan loudly boasts that he's learned more from head trauma than books, and it's widely known that he has yet to learn when to quit.
