Catamount Grassgrove

Geography

The druid's grove known as the Catamount Grassgrove sits nestled north-northwest of Alcedene at the confluence of terrain where the foothills meet the mountains and the plains. A small copse of ancient trees hides the location from prying eyes, centered around the northernmost hill of the foothills. On this hill, a circle of stones stands amid swirling natural energies.

Fauna & Flora

The ancient trees appear to be exotic at first due to their squat girth, but close examination reveals them to be entirely holly trees, living far beyond their normal life and health. The berries they produce are edible, sweet, and magically nutritious. An enormous pride of cougars live in this grove, referred to as the 'mother pride' as all of the various prides around the grass oceans and in the Bulwarks can trace their lineage to splinters from this group. The forests are home to the cougars' favorite prey; hinds and stags. Additionally, volpertingers and jackelopes race around the forest floor, and mutation runs rampant in certain celestial alignments.

Natural Resources

The holly berries of the Catamount Grassgrove act as Goodberries. Additionally, the surplus of prey animals outmatches even the surplus of large felines and every year large herds of deer trek out into the yearly migrations.
