New Etherium

Formerly known as East-Nemthi

New Etherium. Claimed by fire and brimstone, an overwhelming force of the sky rained terror over the lands, illuminating the night in a crimson-red light of suffering. The night of the crimson sun brought change to the lands formally known as East-Nemthi. Millions ceased to exist, two two-thirds of the Triumvirate died. I still don't get the Why. What was the reason that brought my Marshal to carry out such a sinful act of war? Why did he nearly immediately annex the lands he ordered to turn to ash? What did he try to prove to me?

I am Vigor, the god of war, not the god of slaughter. I hate nothing more than an act of war without any equality of power. The blitzkrieg was never in my interest, and yet he thinks I will appreciate it. My siblings do, not me. All me and my brother Terminus can do now is to support 'New Etherium' to get rebuilt, strengthened and eventually reintegrated into the country of Nemthi.
Vigor's diary, 4987

The three Sides of Interest.

When East-Nemthi fell in 4987 Etherium didn't take long to secure the claim, annexing the scorched lands. The soldiers of the Army of Peace, who scouted out the battlefield after the Behemoths brought fire to the realm of the Draconiths, had little to no interest in causing further damage. Sent out by none other than Vigor, the god of war, they provided humanitarian aid to the victims of the blitzkrieg, dug them out of the ashen towns and cities, and gathered them together in shelters. The survivors of the act of violence were bewildered by the three sides they faced when they got annexed, a conflicting interest amidst Etherium, with multiple parties trying to make more or less profit from the annexation.

Ingratus: Display of Power // Example

When the day dawned, the fire was still burning. And there was still one final Behemoth airship in the sky, heading for the biggest city, destroyed by the blitzkrieg. Out of it stepped the orchestrator of the night of terror, accompanied by the devils that carried out his bidding, Commander Blight and Captain Bigsby. The trio announced to the survivors of the night who eradicated their lands, scorched their friends and burned down their belongings. In a terrifying speech, broadcasted into the mind of every unfortunate soul to survive the night.
"In the name of the Eternal Council will I, General Field Marshal Ingratus Fide, annex these lands to make a statement to everyone on this treacherous planet. We tried to play nice, my predecessor even attempted to achieve a new stage of peace, but no. You vermins pulled out your daggers when we were at our most trusting. You attempted to murder our highest in cold blood, and that on the summit that would have ended in 'world peace'. Some of you succeded as many of my allies fell that day. This here ... is but an example. You thought we had grown soft, you tried to overthrow our country. The shanks of treachery got wielded by all of you, the highest of Prius with only a few exceptions. And this here tonight was our answer. We are stronger than ever. We command respect and issue repairments for what you did that day. And these lands, New Etherium, will be the smouldering warning to the world.

Marshal Fide (4987)

Vigor: Rebuilding // Apologizing

Especially for the Eternal Vigor was this annexation beyond unpleasant, as it went against everything he stood for. He spoke to the people of New Etherium a few days after Marshal Fide took claim over the Warfield. His agenda was simple. The message his marshal was successfully sending to the entire world had done its work, they were once again a respected nation of power. His desire was however to right the wrongs, as he never condoned such drastic ways of violence, no outright genocide on Nemthi. It didn't take long till shipments from Etherium arrived to stabilize the condition of the survivors, clean-up crews tidied up and repaired the damage caused by the armada and recruited terraformers to undo the damage and cleanse the scorched lands.
"People of ... New Etherium!
I am aware that anything I will say will not undo the atrocities performed by the marshal of Etherium.
It doesn't matter that I never condoned the operation, that I would undo this night of shame if I could.
I mourn for all the lives my oversight, my lack of control, has caused.
I, Vigor of the Eternal Counsel, vow to dedicate my everything to fix what we caused.
New Etherium is and will be a temporary construct, you will be part of Nemthi again the moment the century war is over and your lands rebuilt.

Vigor (4987)

Notitia and Justitia: Extortion // Research

While the two gods of the Eternal counsel were attempting their best to rebuild the damage done, was the agenda of the goddesses Justitia and Notitia quite different. They let the boys tidy up the damage while they seized the opportunity to comb the scorched lands for valuables.

Notitia provided the Terraformers her brother issued to rebuild the country, and let them operate in the interest of her company Noctec. The mages of repair combed the lands for the most valuable mineral sources to support her expensive research and make a profit for her country. She also conducted various biological field experiments to test out less magical means of rebuilding the damage they caused. New Etherium developed into her country-wide research area in the following decade until she finished her research in 4996, leaving New Etherium to her brothers' plans.

Jutitia on the other hand took the opportunity of the destroyed country to comb the dirt for any traces of the Underground. Her agents have gathered intel that one part of the criminal city should lie directly under the scorched lands. But even the best efforts of the goddesses didn't unveil a singular trace of the Showrunner's realm, the Third City. The complete lack of success caused Justitia to lose interest in New Etherium in 4990, leaving the recuperating country under the helm of the other three gods.
"I thank you all for your swift and imminent reaction to the slaughter issued by Etherium. We were able to destroy any evidence of our presence before my old enemy Justitia arrived. We collapsed the very few connections to the surface, so clean even, that the terraformers filled the rest of the tunnel steamrolling over it. The third city remains and will remain autonomous and undiscovered."

Unnamed Cities

In the process of rebuilding New Etherium, new cities were founded by the people and the entire geography scrambled. The remaining people of influence amongst the survivors sat down with the people tasked to refurbish the county. They chose new and better locations for the new capital and the larger cities in the area. The people, however, didn't want to reuse the city names of the old ones and were only ready to get their new places of stay baptised by the Triumvirate of Power, the leaders of Nemthi. Given the promise of Vigor to gift New Etherium back to Nemthi after the war, the cities received very generic names instead. The capital of New Etherium was called 'Capital' while the large cities received names akin to their geographic location: 'North-North-East City'

Vigor, god of war by Soulwing98

While Marshal Fide ordered the destruction of East-Nemthi due to unexplainable reasons, besides making an example, was his annexation never officially accepted by the remaining representatives of authority. To keep their pride they altered the truth and told mouth-to-mouth that it was Vigor, who rained destruction over East-Rubeus, disguising it as a punishment of the gods instead of being a mere warning to the world. At some point they started believing their own false words and began to recognize the god of war as the wrathful deity of their land, to be worshipped alongside the living saints that are the members of the Triumvirate.
"I dislike that.
I like that they start to recognize me again for what I am, but I strongly disagree with the picture they paint of me. I don't mind them joining the Flaming Zealots, but I do mind that they do that out of fear.

...

I am the victim of this utter NONSENSE!"

I am the god of war, not god of slaughter, is a raw line that I am going to remember.

It is a line that describes him best. He is a warmonger, not a war-Crazy criminal. He lives for the thrill of the fight, not the pain and suffering resulting from an imbalanced war.
