As I stand on the threshold of my very first WAWA (World Anvil Worldbuilding Awards), I can’t help but smile like a kid with a secret. I’m amazed that, what started as a modest attempt to organize my sprawling world has evolved into an epic creative journey- all in just five short months! I’ve spent countless days and nights weaving stories, unraveling the mysteries of CSS (yes, that code thing I never imagined I'd enjoy!), and connecting with a delightfully quirky and nerdy community of worldbuilders. It’s been a wonderful ride, one that promises endless inspiration.
Submitting my entries for WAWA isn’t about the competition; it’s about celebrating every twist, turn, and unexpected detour that led me here. After years shadowed by burnout and writer’s block, I’ve finally rediscovered the joy of writing, and at a pace that feels perfectly mine. Worldbuilding turned out to be the medium that fits like a glove. Every entry here is born of late-night brainstorming, spontaneous creative bursts, and the sheer thrill of turning wild ideas into something real. This article is my presentation to the work I’ve lovingly put together.
And to anyone still on the fence about entering this competition: please, just DO IT!
Do it because you deserve it. Do it because there’s nothing more exhilarating than the thrill of creation. Do it to challenge yourself. You have absolutely nothing to lose and everything to gain! And if that doesn’t sway you, then do it for that shiny, oh-so-coveted participation badge that’s practically shouting your name. So jump in, embrace the chaos, and let your creativity shine!
So, without further ado, here are my submissions for WAWA 2025
