In the tongue of gods and ancients, there is a word that echoes across ages; a name both feared and revered: Kena'an. Born of divine intent and mortal resilience, this world was crafted by the brother gods, Novirath and Haestrom, who carved it from the fabric of light and shadow, binding it with power that reaches beyond mortal comprehension.
Here, nations clash and cultures endure. Humanity, ambitious and vast, commands over Keraian, a sprawling empire that stretches from verdant plains to the storm-lit coasts, while the elves, cloaked in history and arcane knowledge, dwell apart in their ancient enclaves in the lands of Zolirak. The dwarves, hewn from stone and iron, build their legacy deep within mountains of Louthiran, embodying the strength and endurance of the very earth. Nomadic tribes cross Pariant's wastelands; the hardy Glaciarcs- giant ancestors of the orcs- stand sentinel over the icy north, in Ekiran and in the myriad Islands of the west, the Aerithia Archipelago thrums with the songs of exiles, pirates, and restless souls seeking freedom. Finally, beyond the realm of the living, in the kingdom of Myltery, the restless dead walk again, led by undead lords who rule with power undimmed by death.
Among these familiar faces lie the rare and enigmatic. The Eaglors, masters of dream and divination, hold the mysteries of fate close to their hearts, their vision a glimpse into realms beyond mortal sight. And the Shadow elves, long fallen into myth, are said to have walked alongside death itself, bearing secrets that could sway the balance of existence.
Magic in Kena'an courses as a river does, fed by divine springs. The art of spellcraft here is abundant and layered: to some, a gift; to others, a curse. The human empire regards arcane magic with wary respect, while the elves embrace it as an essential force. Druidic rites, fiercely guarded and rarely practiced, are known only to the Eaglors. And underlying all is the magic of the runes, ancient and potent, entwined with the essence of sin and virtue; a power as old as the gods themselves.
Now, in the Era of Change, Kena'an stands on the edge of destiny. The ancient runes of sin and virtue, forged in ages lost to memory, begin to stir once more. They awaken as relics of a war that once thundered across the heavens; a war that now looms again, not in the hands of gods, but mortals. This time, it is the people of Kena'an who must decide: will they rise to the challenge, or will they succumb to the forces within?
So journey carefully, for Kena'an’s heart is veined with paradox. Here, the war of good and evil is no simple tale. It is a balance, an intricate dance that beckons each soul to choose, to forge their own path against the pull of fate. This is a land where mortals intertwine with the will of gods, and where even the smallest act can shape the tides of history.
The world of Kena'an spawns into existance in the vast tapestry of the Material Plane. It is a world of balance and tranquility- a perfect equilibrium of light and darkness.
At this point, the Pantheon of Kena'an begins to shape. Gods and Deities are formed either by the will of the two Creator brothers or by other means, such as natural phenomena.
All the Gods- one by one- decide to populate Kena'an with their creation. It is the time where the first mortals appear in the world and the first civilizations begin to form.
At this point begins the Great War of the Gods. Mortals get caught in the crossfire of divine conflict. This era ends with the Gods vanishing and is followed by an era of darkness and silence.
During these 1000 years, the world of Kena'an is at the edge of disaster. The Gods have disappeared, leaving the mortals struggle- stripped by hope or the promise of afterlife. The land suffers under oppression and vileness of the Glaciarc tribes. Winter lasts for the whole era.
