The World Anvil Worldbuilding Awards has arrived! Hoo boy, I am excited for this :D
I have been using World Anvil for almost a year now, and I have achieved so many things I never thought I would—I have made five worldbuilding projects, with over a hundred articles and 17k+ words written across them, created tons of art to accompany them, partook in various official and unofficial challenges (and snagging some neat nominations and wins!) and joined an amazing community filled with awesome (and especially nerdy!) people, who have continually encouraged me to keep pushing forward and put myself out there <3
With all these achievements under my belt, I'm confident I'm ready to take on a much larger challenge!
It's WAWA Time, Baby!
To me, WAWA is the final boss of WA challenges. All the preparation done, all the hardwork it took, and all the improvements made to your craft have led up to this very moment.
It is intimidating, to say the least. This competition is such a big deal! Your entries will be seen and read by potentially hundreds of people! Will they be good enough to stand out? Will they measure up to the works of the talented World Anvil behemoths?? Will I even stand a chance here??!!
These worries and more must be swirling around in your head. I get it. I'm also quaking in my boots! But come closer and let me tell you something.
Do it.
Just DO IT!
Do it to push yourself out of your comfort zone! Do it because you and your work deserve recognition! You have nothing to lose and everything to gain! Even if you don't win or get nominated in a category, you will still get a shiny badge to proudly display! (And who doesn't love shiny badges?)
Anyway, without further ado, here are the categories I am competing in!
Best Newcomer 2025
Auxul is the product of my fascination with technology and outer space (which is why it is my favourite out of my five worlds), and it really shows!
Another reason I chose it is that it has the largest amount of high-quality articles that are sufficiently connected to each other compared to my other worlds. It may sound harsh but Inferncenem and Caelumen are due to have almost all their articles rewritten, Ysteria's articles don't sufficiently connect to each other and Mytharae only has one article XD
Wondrous Nature
Remember how I said I have a fascination with outer space? This article is the clearest example of that!
Doing all the research required for a semi-realistic lava planet were you can go volcano-surfing was so much fun, and it was a great avenue for me to nerd out a bit :D
Pillars of Progress
CODE is the foundation on which a number of Auxul's newer technologies are built on, and its article was the product of two whole weeks of brainstorming, writing and research. This is probably the first time I spent this long working on an article and I'm positive it shows :D
Similar to Ignitius, CODE was a way for me to showcase my love of technology, specifically futuristic technology!
Myths & Legends
Oh, look! An entry that isn't from Auxul XD
Rising from the Depths, which describes the origins of the peaceful Angels of Water, is arguably the best and most enjoyable myth I've ever written :D Coming up with a unique, stylish voice for these angels was a nice challenge and one that paid off very well!
Good luck! I'm looking forward to reading these!

Thank you for the well wishes! I'm hoping the best for you too <3
