My Offerings to WAWA 2025

Oh boy it's that time of year again

This is it, the time is upon us, and I'm back to offer my wares to the council. To the ENTIRE council in fact and not just 3 categories surprisingly. I debated on whether to post this before or after I make all the edits and updates and as I type this I have no idea cause I haven't started on any of them, I'll guess by the time this goes up I'll have made my decision. So here's my entries, this time around I'm being a bit more finnicky with what goes where.

Artist's Most Beautiful World

I was made for this category and this category was made for me. This is it. Everything I've ever done has culminated to this category being added and me entering it. I'm sure at least someone has noticed the various art updates I've been making here and there, I've been doing the equivalent of taking old art and turning the RTX on vdhsfjkbv. Honestly I think I have a decent shot at getting nominated here, for actually WINNING though is anyone's guess cause I'm sure the competition will be fierce. The one downside being that if I DO get nominated then that's literally the one chance I get since I have absolutely no plans on ever making another world hvfbsdkhjvb. This is it baby, Oniran is all I got and I wouldn't have it any other way broTHER LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOO JONTARO SWEEP.

Best Article

And thus begins the yearly tradition of submitting Knights to Best Article until SOMETHING happens dfjshvbkdf. This continues to be my all time favorite article for very obvious reasons. In preparation, as of typing this, I'm gonna make some big updates, mostly adding and changing art, maybe rewriting some sections, perhaps some reformatting, contemplating if I want the scrolling sidebar and coping with the fact that it will destroy the table of contents for the stuff in said sidebar, the usual update stuff I'm so addicted to; I'm sure you understand. I just gotta remember to give the other 2 the same treatment. Here's to stubborness perserverance!!!

I bet you were thinking this was an EASY Cloudburst Coastside submission, but nah, I'm gonna submit the one shot dedicated ENTIRELY to exploring it while still fleshing out the region further. If I can't really put Lichdom anywhere then I'll just have to throw in my SECOND best article of 2025 in a completely unexpected but appropriate category >:)

Pillars of Progress

One of the few times that an article I made fits cleanly into one of these categories no questions asked. This is still one of my best, and it fits SO well that it's literally one of the listed examples for Pillars of Progress vhsbvfk.

Rise of Nations

I was originally gonna leave this one blank but the fact that it would've been the only blank category was REALLY gonna bother me dfsjkhvbfd. So I'm giving Elves another shot, not only does this article explain the history of Elves, but it also gives a little insight into the history of Oniran as a whole. It's not often that I do that and this is the best we got.

Strength & Honor

This one might be a stretch but I think I can make an argument. Bonfire Broth is explicitly more of an idea than an actual recipe, it represents the camaraderie shared with strangers on the road and the tradition of impromptu hospitality. A tradition that starts with two adventuring parties rallying together to overcome hardships before deciding to spend the night with each other's company. I think that fits.
