Grandmaster of the New Technomancers Vonrig Blastkeg
One of the more notable members of the Order of Technomancy, Vonrig was a well regarded Technomancer and inventor. One of the orders few Dwarven members, Vonrig made a name for himself after his apprenticeship by being one of the last "true" Technomancers according to his peers. Unlike many Vonrig invented and created purely for the joy of creation and bettering the lives of people through technology, unlike much of the Order which has become more and more political due to their proximity to the Grand Magus.
Vonrig was easily spotted in a crowd due to his red mechanical left eye and mechanical right arm. He was also known for his high spirits and kind manner.
Vonrig was the master to Thoramir of Virnos, and sent his apprentice away to Atresa after Thoramir was responsible for the destruction of a Techonmancer workshop. He later aided Guild Hyperios in The Battle of Castle Hyperios much to the chagrin of his fellow members of the Order.
When Rangers of Virnos came to arrest him for treason Vonrig's house became a walking war machine with legs and cannons. It took four Knights of Virnos and a sustained artillery bombardment to take the house and Vonrig down. While his body was never found in the burning wreckage he was presumed dead by the Virnosian government.
This turned out to be false, as instead Vonrig merely went underground. It was later revealed that he played a supportive role to the Virnosian Rebellion, providing them with Technomancer aid and automatons, and is generally thought to be the first Technomancer to desert for the rebellion.
After the climax of the rebellion, Vonrig helped serve on the temporary government to help rebuild the city. When the Citizen's Representative Council of Virnos was formed Vonrig stood back from politics and instead took on the primary leadership role of the New Technomancers, the refounded Order of Technomancy made up of both Technomancers who deserted during the rebellion and new Technomancers looking to learn. He helped found their new Headquarters in the shambled remains of the desolation zone, where a massive explosion had leveled a not small part of the city. The New Technomancers built the area up and created their new headquarters/school in the rubble, building upwards. This both gave them plenty of space and material, as well as rejuvenated the destroyed part of the city.
During the Rischer Crisis, Vonrig led the first batch of the new generation of Technomancers into battle alongside Gareth Pancem. Though in truth Vonrig did little, as the new generation proved more than capable enough on their own.
Since then, Vonrig has been officially declared the Grandmaster of the New Technomancers. While the bylaws state he can be removed for any reason by the Tenured Technomancer's, there is agreement that Vonrig will probably die of old age in his post before that ever comes to pass.
