Dwarves

The Dwarves are a hardy people living mostly in the Northern Mountains of Kalin. Short in stature the Dwarves make up for their lack of height with their steadfastness and strength. Dwarves have had an interesting history with the races of Kalin. Isolationist by nature, not many Dwarven realms openly allow other races into their halls, though this has gotten laxer over the centuries. There is also the fact that the Dwarves and Elves waged a devastating war on each other towards the end of the first age, a war the Elves definitively lost. This has created bad blood between the races to this day. Despite their isolationist policies when it comes to their realms Dwarves are somewhat common throughout Kalin, as many left their realms to explore and trade early in the second age.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Most Dwarves reside in the Northern Mountains in their holds, but more and more Dwarves have begun to wander into Kalin to make a name for themselves.
