Alsen Lastimora
General Alsen Ukar Lastimora (a.k.a. Hero of the Second War)
A two-time war-hero, Alsen has a storied military history fighting for Atresa.
Alsen garnered a name for himself by successfully fighting off Virnos raids in the borderlands several years before the second war. He was fast tracked for command during this time.
When the Second Virnosian War broke out, he was made a commander due to his record and his marriage to the daughter of a Prime Lord. He performed exemplary service during the war, but really made a name for himself during the Battle of Hybor-Pass. The battle was the first appearance of the Knights of Virnos, and one of said Knights killed General Huxari, the commanding officer. Lastimora quickly took command and turned a rout into a victory using creative tactics involving Atresan Battlemages.
After the war was won Lastimora took up politics and was officially made a General, and was the main advisor to the Primor. After the Primor was assassinated by Virnosian agents during the Sunless Day Lastimora ran for Primor, but lost to the young Tutiro Cam. Despite initial grievances Horace the Songbird managed to convince Lastimora to support the new Primor.
This became vital during the Third Virnosian War, where Lastimora lead Atresa to victory in The Battle of Castle Hyperios.
Since the Third War Lastimora had been advising Tutiro on military matters. He was usually opposed by the more peace-minded Arnell Blackstone, and was often annoyed with Tutiro's policy of peace and the status quo instead of burning Virnos to the ground.
During The Year of the Dragon Lastimora once again acted as military commander for the armed forces. He held the rear guard during the occupation of Virnos, and then took on the role of home defender once Atresa joined the war officially. There was not much fighting to be done however, and Lastimora spent most of his time as commander off of the battlefield.
Lastimora would retire officially from service in 760 2A, satisfied with the downfall of Virnos as a true threat and the rise of Atresa.
Lastimora passed away peacefully in 772. A large parade and service was held in his honor, with Primor Cam speaking at his funeral. A new class of Tanks being developed by Atresa for years and unveiled in 773 was named the Lastimora Class in honor of the general.
