Ezir
Royal Scholar Ezir Saratheas'y
Known predominantly for the founding of the Royal Academy of Saratheas, Ezir was regarded one of the greatest and most futuristic inventors and thinkers of her time. A grandchild of Iovana Elek Ezir grew up in the golden beginning era of the Aman'a Valeethi's philosophy of shaping one's own path, and so she made it her personal goal to clear her home's name: former city of justice, Saratheas, by turning it into a centre of rehabilitation, culture, and learning.

Personal history
Ezir was born in Saratheas, to former Iovana Elek's second daughter Somna. Somna hadn't succeeded her father on the throne but instead left her home Canwyl to follow her passion of being an architect in Saratheas, where she helped to construct the Temple of Saratheas. Ezir, from a young age on also interested in the arts and learning, witnessed firsthand the change Aman's Ascension and the spread of their teachings had started in people's minds. Her aunt, Iovana Vendire, ordered the closing of the Canthoreas as one of the first deeds of her reign, and while Somna wasn't directly involved in the alteration work of the "labyrinth of deep, dark fears" below the streets of the city of judgement and justice, she was still in favour of the process.
Being brought up in the belief that even the most horrible criminals should be given a chance of rehabilitation, to not further harm or destroy their souls by running a gauntlet of punishment in the name of the gods, Ezira's morals were shaped significantly into this direction. While initially intending to join the Avon Julanor, the order dedicated to the god of justice and re-established by her grandfather in alignment with Aman's teachings, her focus eventually shifted away from the justice system and towards the education of the people. Beldran at the time was a city of knowledge and research already, but its schools and libraries were intended to be used by scholars and priests, not so much by farmers or regular citizens interested in acquiring new skills. The idea was born to create "the academy for everyone", as Ezir titled it in her early diary entries on the subject. It was supposed to not only become a center of learning, but a second home to the curious and open-minded, an institution independent of the government, of religious beliefs, and shifting politics. Iovana Vendire supported the idea and helped with the funding of the project - a reason why until today the Iovana traditionally makes a large annual donation to the facility - and Ezir's mother Somna was involved in the creation of the building's blueprints after her daughter's vision.
