Vanbrute Ironbeard

Vanbrute Ironbeard is a dwarven inquisitor who was a founding member in the Lost Ones. Though not a Champion like the rest of his party, Vanbrute is content to remain in Ironfalls and oversee the evolution of his new home.
He was originally from Dhun Volkulgar, but was exiled for his overenthusiastic torture of a noble brat. He served in the guard of Port Amarin under Iryani Lilan until the Lost Ones were formed to tackle small problems in the port, and eventually won his freedom through his good deeds. In the process, he befriended and recruited the drow Kazric Szithna, who would sacrifice himself for Vanbrute in a horrific fight.
When Kazric was reincarnated as a half-orc, he remained close to Vanbrute, and the two left together when Vanbrute returned home and separated from the party. It was this close bond that helped draw Vanbrute to Ironfalls when it was founded, allowing him to unknowingly escape the fall of his Dhun.
