Halfling

Halflings are small, cheery humanoids that developed in tandem with humanity. They have historically referred to themselves with far more flattering names than 'halfling', but centuries of oppression have stolen the majority of original halfling culture across the globe.
They are hearty folk with innate luck and inherent wanderlust, and are driven far more by opportunity and chance than other species. Halflings are rarely planners, though it's known to happen. Their small stature and spontaneity is both boon and curse; it is all too easy to take advantage of the small beings, and equally easy for their bravest to turn the tables and escape.
