The Golden Dawn: Shidare: The Doctrine Goddess of the Saints
Despite the widespread rumours and speculations on what Shidare was, she had not once ever confirmed nor denied the claims, often brushing them off and leaving them to wonder. It wasn’t as if it was a secret, though Shidare was simply one who saw no need to boast her possibly deific nature. Such things weren’t new to her, given that she is the central figure of not one, but two of the major religions in Agrovia. Both of which revered her as the “Mother of the Saints” and the “Goddess of Life” which weren’t far from the truth, but in the question of their ethos, the two churches had been in fierce opposition for centuries. [EON], The Empyrean Church was the original doctrine, which had governed Agrovia since its inception before it collapsed after an attempted coup d'état. The current church, The Peoples Church of the Golden Dawn took over the void left by them and has since returned the power to the people of Agrovia, as it should be.
One huge part of the mythology behind Shidare is her long ago "Lovers tale" which depicts a time before the worlds collapsed, when she fell for and copulated with an Aeonian prince, who, at the time was betrothed. This was taboo, and both were cursed for it. One, with eternal life and the unrelenting power of the sun, to never be under its bask should he want to decimate the world - And the other, eternally forgotten to the pyres of his dreams. It is said that upon his death was she reborn, though as a phoenix rises from the ashes, does he rise again - And so she shall fade, never letting the two to know each other embrace.
This tale is old, and has some truth to it. Though not much is known, one little-known fact about Shidare is that she, as her lover could not touch the sun - Cannot be in the presence of the moon, and upon the night encroachment shall she turn to stone, and upon its rise shall she be free from her cocoon of cold rock. She can move about during the night, having trained herself to create a "cluster" of lights and the ability to move around a certain radius of her nightly tombstone, though is unable to eat, nor sleep - Nor use her power.
Some parts of the mythos dictate that Aeacus was the very first [Saint] - The False [Saint], Da'at. And perhaps, he still is. It is also said he possesses two powers - "Da’as Elyon" and "Da’as Tachon" - The Higher and Lower Knowledge of God.
More of this will be added to the "The Tale of Two Lovers: The Tzachtzachot and the Primordial Man"
