Pheria
In the southwestern part of the Continent lay the Kingdom of Pheria. It is a relatively peaceful kingdom made up of woodsmen and farmers. The land is rich and fertile due to being bordered by the Emerald Run in the east. The kingdom's population is mainly made up of humans, elves, and half-elves as many elven folk fled west after the fall of the Thaloran Empire. When the Gelders encroached further north that also incurred another mass exodus of elven kind across the Emerald Run. Many Pherians--including humans--still consider their kingdom to be a remnant of the old elven empire due to their culture and customs being mostly different from other nations within The Palatinate. Pheria has a fierce rivalry with the Kingdom of Gelderland, and both nations often find themselves in border skirmishes over the Emerald Run. This rivalry also comes from the Gelders incursions on old elven lands which caused many to seek refuge within Pheria.
Territories
The Kingdom of Pheria controls land east of the Emerald Run, all the way towards the Triumphant Bay--in the west. After the fall of the Thaloran Empire, the Pherians came to inherit this land, holding out against invaders and political instability. When joining the Palatinate they were allowed to keep this land, but often find themselves in border skirmishes with Gelderland over the Emerald Run.
