The Fourth Era has ended...   After a bloody thirty year long struggle, the War of Palatine Succession has ended. King Leonhard VII of Ostral emerged victorious as the rightful leader of the empire known as the Palatinate. The realm and region as a whole has now entered into a time of healing, but his ascension was not the only consequence of the war. The Kingdom of Rewen deposed its despotic insane queen with the help of one the country's most legendary generals; who went through an odyssey of betrayal and redemption. New borders were drawn as kingdoms and empires ceded lands in appeasement. Despite the healing that has begun and the peace that has followed, wounds are still fresh and tender, not fully healed.    Many more things run afoul upon the lands of the Continent. The von Gruseldorf family was once of high respect and honor within the Kingdom of Rewen. The most recent head of the family was quick to squalor the family's vast fortune through decadent spending along with other debaucheries only known to him. He soon became a recluse, delving and dabbling in what was rumored to be all sorts of black magic. He has since disappeared, leaving his estate in disarray. Dark mysteries are to be discovered else where throughout the lands as a plucky group of adventurers begin making a name for themselves whether for better or worse as they unknowingly delve deeper into machinations beyond their understanding...
