Magna Family
The Magna is one of the most powerful guild-families in Ossa. Their family sigil is an inverted triangle covered in wavy lines emanating from a single point, the silic symbol of cureglass, and they have adopted crimson as their guild family color. Their clients wear crimson client paint on their pinkies. They run the Ivory Forest Glassworks and have a government contract to produce godglass there.
The Magna family patriarch is Supi Magna, who sits on the Inner Assembly. Other notable members of the Magna guild-family include Supi's granddaughter Ulina Magna, her cousin Glissandi Magna, and Filur Magna, who oversees the Ivory Forest Glassworks.
STORY
The Magna have long kept the Ivory Forest Glassworks in the family. When Thessa Foleer is capture by the Ossan military, she is turned over to Magna enforcers who take her to the glassworks as a prisoner. There, she meets Pari, a laborer who states that she refuses to become a Magna toady, even if it would afford her better pay and working conditions. Thessa later discovers that Filur Magna had been had been skimming off the top of their government contract as well as manufacturing illegal fearglass at the glassworks on behalf of his guild-family. Supi Magna tries to keep these crimes hidden by rebuying the glasswork shares from Demir Grappo, who realizes that Supi's desperation certainly indicated a Magna family secret hidden at that location. Demir later confronts Supi and offers to resell the shares back, claiming he wants nothing to do with fearglass.
