Demesne of Eppon
The northernmost district of the Free Cities of the Delta is culturally very similar to the Imperial gorge, but is geographically very different. While the Kervakhen River is still the dominant feature of the landscape, the region is not hemmed in by the The Red Waste allowing civilization to spread further out from the river's banks.
Geography
The primary defining geographic feature of the region is the Kervakhen River. After 700 miles in the Imperial gorge with no inlets, the River is at its narrowest southern width in this Demesne. This quickly changes as wetter surroundings feed into the river. Notable tributaries include the Eckwood Stream, etc.... The northern portion of the region consists of the tiered plateaus of the @Taba Steppe descending towards the south and the river. Further south the terrain transitions to rolling lowlands covered in tough grasses. Pockets of woodland break up this sweeping grassland, the most notable of which is the Whispering Woods.
Fauna & Flora
The majority of the region is covered in long, though grasses which are well adapted to the semi-arid climate. In the north pockets of moisture give rise to dense shrubs such as desert shrub and bunchgrass, while in south those same areas can support a great variety of the Acacia trees. The exception to this rule is the Whispering Woods where the Feywild and Essilion touch, producing much denser woodlands and much greater biodiversity.
