Demesne of Ucian
The southernmost district of the Free Cities of the Delta boasts its own distinct culture from the Cities around it. The people of the region have the least aversion to power and control of nobility, if only because they have been taught so by their ruler Lord Arcanist Vecna. This deep far south in the delta the salty water of the Hydellian Sea affects the regions as much as the freshwater of the Kervakhen River.
Geography
The Demesne of Ucian lies on the edge of the Swamp of Ningama and is sometimes considered an extension of it. As such, those parts of the land which have not been heavily developed are dense marshland. The Kervakhen River provides a constant source of freshwater and an easy method of navigation. However, the salt water Hydellian Sea causes many of the channels to become brackish and unfit for human consumption. To the north is the Demesne of Placeholder, while the Demesne of Placeholder boarders on the east.
Fauna & Flora
The natural landscape of the region is dense swampland divided by wider, navigable channels of the Kervakhen River. Large sections of the swamp have been cleared and drained for agriculture, but the majority of the land is still overgrown and inhospitable.

Natural Resources
Despite its apparent inhospitable nature, the swamp provides a bounty of natural resources for is inhabitants, and the cleared territory provides ample agriculture.

The Demesne of Ucian is beset with monstrous threats from the river, the sea, and the swamp. The swamp contains such threats as hags and other fey, ogres and trolls, Yuan-ti, Oblex, and vegepygmy. The sea is no stranger to merfolk, harpies, and manticore. And in recent years there has been a disturbing number of undead roaming about.
