The Fireside Fleet

The Fireside Fleet are the mobsters/gang who works the streets of Farr City, in the Northern Isle, who are not as passive as the name suggests.

Named as such for Jerry Moonie was sitting with his girlfriend V, by the fire in The Blushing Rose Tavern, when they came up with the idea (Jerry claims as his own) - who Jerry affectionately calls "My Little Bastards".

The Fireside Fleet are whispered doing money laundering, murder, bribery, bodyguard hire, collecting protection taxes, robbery, bootlegging, whorehouse, and offering alibis. Nothing illegal happens in Farr without Jerry Moonie's say-so ... or someone dies.

JERRY "The Boss" MOONIE

(born: Jerrimon Moonshield) - Half Human-Dwarves male; back graying hair and thick beard
Jerry Moonie is not the type of person anyone double crosses. He thinks everyone either wants to work for him, or be him. He was a Half-Dwarf with small eyes that hold a stare that seemed to see right through anyone he deals with. Seems to notice everything. Jerry Moonie is quick with his wit and his blade. Narcissistic; charming; sadistic sense of humour; brute; vicious; when mad yells and goes red in the face; bellows commands; "The Boss".

DALRAK "Wings" STERNBREATH

Dwarves male; brown long beard, bald
Dalrak Sternbreath it fast on his feet for his size (secret: as Boots of haste). He is not easy to charm or persuade. Always looks unnervingly calm. Self-Important - considers himself to be The Boss' right hand man; strong; As ancient Dwarven Axe [Dwarven Axe of Change =A golden battleaxe that has 4 gems set in between the two blades. This weapon deals 2d6 slashing damage. You gain a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. This weapon attacks score a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20, it deals an extra 1d8 fire damage. As a bonus action the user can transform the axe into 2 other weapons: two hand axes or a longsword.]
Dalrak has two preferred 'whores' = female Elves-Dwarves Helicka Gritfingers - hand-sized breasted; or male Gnome Clonmore Harringfar - clean shaven, tight assed ... neither are the kind who shared a bed with a third person.

Birth Name = Violet Viola - Tabaxi female - long calico fur
Jerry's girlfriend is known solely as "V". Her history is simple - she was born in The Rookery ward of Farr City - she wanted more than scrapping by so hooked up with Jerry when he still was a teenager (3 years younger than herself) - V feeds him ideas and soothed his ego. Considers Tigermoth like a sister. Hortensia is her friend. Comes across as naïve and sweet; speaks in high-pitched, cute voice; trash talks when not in 'company'; has a sweet-tooth (adores sweets/lollies/candies pretty; girlie (mob-girlfriend dresses, with tail sadistic sense of humour; ambitious; street-smarts.

TIGERMOTH

  Tabaxi female - short, silky black fur with white line from top of nose over head and on front paws
Tigermoth Manelli does not tolerate her name being shortened except by her permission then she is either "Tiger" or if close friend "Puss" (never "Pussy"). A noble born who run away from her family estate - Manelli Estate in Devai to 'live her own life'.
Protective of V - like a sister.
Sexy, feminine, sadistic sense of humour, poisoner, flirtatious, and large blue eyes.

RAMIRO "The Gent" FOXALL

Ramiro 'The Gent' wears a three piece pin-striped suit and a bowler hat. The polished walnut wood stick he carries contains a slim sharp blade that he welds with great skill. His manners are usual at noble standards - Jerry frequently sends him to deal with higher classed customers.
No winkles (seems ageless) - fluid movements - great dancer, speaks 9 languages (Common, Elvish, Dwarf, Draconic, Halfling, Gnomish, Sylvan, Undercommon, and Tabaxi).

RALPH "Three Toes" CANTONE

Human-Dwarves male
Ralph Cantone was one of the first crew of The Fireside Fleet - a childhood friend of Jerry's. Ralph dislikes V ... thinks she is 'working' Jerry to her own ends (true, but Ralph can't figure it all out clearly).
Missing 2 toes on his right foot from a gun powder incident when they were teens.
Sour-looking - thin, wide mouth - often looks bored - loves weapons of numerous types - tormentor and integrator.

TARAN "Butterfingers" RUTTY

Dwarves-Elves - genderless
Taran seems to always be eating - especially greasy foods or corn on the cob) has to put down to handle items or people. Nothing grosses them out. Loves music. Bodyguard of Jerry and V. (Rumoured to have cut off a person's fingers and then eaten them soaked in butter, in front of them).
Follows orders from Jerry too well - doesn't speak much (too busy eating) - Elves height but Dwarf stature - not as dumb as seems - very observant.

HORTENSIA "The Shadow" CORRETTEL

Halfling-Gnome female
Hortensia is original from The Fogi Island, and is known to secretly traveled around much of The Northern Isle relatively unnoticed. She does not strictly stick to only jobs for Jerry, but is V's friend and is loyal enough to not annoy The Boss. Tigermoth and V affectionately call her Hortie (no one else is allowed).
The guards are never sure when she has returned to Farr. Has Almiraj (small furred-rabbit with horn) familiar named Petal. The guards act as if she is always close-by.
Sneaky - lock-picker - witty - pick-pocket - casts invisibility, dancing lights and misty step - not very tolerant - has metal whistle that only animals can hear (uses to distract people)

TINY AL

Half-Orc male - Born: Alant Radall
Tiny Al is the bard of The Blushing Rose Tavern - more nimble with his fingers on the lute that his size suggests. He watches the owners of The Blushing Rose Tavern. Does a little 'Moss' - but has only minor affects.
Loves trying vices - dice, rich foods, gambling, sex (any), drugs, alcohol, and betting. Often has arm wrestling matches with drunk patrons.

"I bet you'd be back this month - left it a bit close, didn't ya. You know how I hate to loose a bet."

Tiny Al is friendly - cheerful - cheeky - follows orders from Jerry well - observant - charming

Has Fern Hound "Jove" that sits in woven basket by the tavern entrance - looks like a normal large fern plant in a woven basket.

The Blushing Rose Tavern Two floored building - first level is stone with wooden second floor. Inside double doors is a large fern in a woven basket ["Jove"]. A Half-Orc bard plays the lute (skillfully) by the hearth. The Bar is along the West wall near the stairs that lead up to the Mezzanine-type balcony of the 2nd level (whore rooms and The Fireside Fleet 'meeting' rooms). It is a clean well-kept tavern - to the best of the owners abilities with the type of patrons frequent it since Jerry Moonie took over.

The Blushing Rose Tavern was named after the wife and mother of the owners - Patch in the Forest (Patch) a widower Tabaxi, and his twin sons, Mist in the Morning (Mist) does Bartender, and Shadow of a Star (Shadow) is learning to cook - from their hired chef Gandani Oakbranch (female Dwarf).

The Fireside Fleet started with the building on the second floor on the tavern, creating a place for adult clientele to pay for sex, and converting the cellar into a drug production area - make "Moss".

Monkshound is a tuberous flowering plant with long thick roots that is that can be commonly found growing on volcanic mountain sides, like that on Luuva. The Monkshound enjoys the heat and sulphur. The flowers turn a dark scarlet, as if burning. At maturity, this plant is extremely toxic and may lead to the death of a person.
In it’s youth, the roots can be carefully mushed up mixed with a moss leaves from the dark, almost black, green moss known as Curly Moss. Although some types of mosses are actually edible, some varieties, like Curly Moss, range from mildly toxic to potent, and is deadly to Humans and Halflings. The roots of the Curly Moss are toxic, but the soft leaves are slightly numbing - memory slips and calms. Mixed in the right way, with a little Honeydew for sweet aroma, it becomes “Moss’ – a delightful high of the smokable variety. It is very addictive in oil form.
