House Taeylorr
House Taeylorr is the ruling noble family of the Kingdom of Alsona. The story of the house dates back to some of the first worshippers of The King during the days of the Nameless Empire. The first head of the house was said to be a aged musician who had been said to have been incredibly popular. Her fame allowed her to leverage a position as leader of a small enclave of survivors of the catastrophe that ended the empire. They ruled over a good portion of what became the Kingdom of Alsona, including the Tomb of the King, which they actively helped preserve. The house is also well known as never have born a single son in its entire history, with all children of the monarchs being female.
Public Agenda
The Royal House stands for the continuation of peace and prosperity in the Kingdom of Alsona. They have recently also begun the process of centralizing power under the Alsonan monarchy, seeking to end the dominance that the noble houses enjoyed prior to the Wingo War. Officially, they have called for peace with the dwarves and elves of the west, hoping to maintain relations until a new balance can be struck at home with their rivals. A large part of this endeavor was the call for the formation of the Barony of Highveldt, a tributary state to the north in what were formerly centaur lands. They have claimed that this independent state will protect borders, and more importantly, reinforce Royal authority through more trade and a new ally.
Assets
As the reigning royal house of Alsona, all of the assets of the kingdom belong to House Taeylorr. Taxes are levied from all of the noble houses to help pay for infrastructure and the affairs of state. The clergy of The King's Host also owe their allegiance to the house, acting as their strongest supporters and the main force of the royal line's legitimacy to the throne. The newest and most powerful asset the house can bear, however, is the Royal Army of Alsona. This powerful force is the strongest military power in the kingdom and has supplanted nearly every noble levy that had previously existed.
