House Pollard

House Pollard is a new entity present in the Kingdom of Alsona. Established only a few years previous, the house was created in the wake of the scouring of the town of Asimi, and the necromantic cabal that had formed around the previous countess. Eliza Pollard, a noted paladin and adventurer from the Mersan Union, managed to uncover and defeat these foes who had threatened the lives of who lived there. The defeat of the necromancers helped to establish a new era for Asimi, and the Pollard family has brought in other allies of the house and adventurers who had previously worked with the countess.

Public Agenda

Publicly, the house has received substantial support, both material and political, from the Queen herself. Although House Pollard is fairly quiet in inter-house politics throughout Alsona, the countess remains outspoken in her support for fairer treatement of the dwarven minority and refugees from the Apps Mountains. She has sought to expand their rights and protections, advocating for a safe haven in Asimi. She has even harbored individuals considered to be fugitives or criminals by other countesses, which has led to continuing conflict and very public arguments with other aristocrats in Alsona.

Assets

House Pollard currently rules over the estates and lands of the town of Asimi and the area immediately around it. The lands are technically owned by the house and the multitude of tenants helps to pay for the costs of founding a new dynasty. The house remains relatively poor, however, compared to others, as much of the wealth granted by the queen and years of adventuring has been reinvested into improving Asimi and helping the unfortunate. They still maintain a small house guard, primarily consisting of the adventuring party that had long worked with Eliza Pollard prior to her elevation to countess.
