Core Species
in Inhabitants
Select a species for your character. Player characters belong to one of the many intelligent humanoids species in Eltaryon's universe. Your character's species determines your character’s size, speed, and grants particular traits, such as special senses, skill, language or tool proficiencies, or the ability to innately use lower level spells, and occasionally confers special abilities. Record the biological traits granted by your species on your character sheet.
Most species have multiple associated ethnicities, which grant additional traits to your character. You can the related ethnicities in the sidebar of each species' page. If a species has related ethnicities listed, you must choose one one for your character.
Once you've chosen a species and an ethnicity (if applicable), adjust your ability scores based on the listed Ability Score Increases and Decreases, record the traits granted by your species on your character sheet, and be sure to note your base speed as well.
Then, it's time to move on to creating a Background.
