New Year's Resolutions 2025

It's been a beautiful World, Ember, and I can't wait for the next year of world-building, role-playing, story-building, and seeing all kinds of creations emerge. So, for the following year, I have a plan that may be seen as my New Year's resolution for my World. Well, sit back and prepare for a long one. I have various plans and want to do them all. So, I will be breaking it down into parts and discussing it in detail. I'm hoping to get myself a bit of a guideline and set it up so that when I am sidetracked by something, I have a method to get back on track, so thanks for sticking with me.

1. Elema and What Has Been Built

So I'm going to write two articles describing the world depending on either the setting for an RPG or the novel I'll be writing. As I outline and set them up, I'll probably create other articles to assist clarify things. For example the RPGs, I already have definitions of magic schools for anyone who hasn't dealt with Pathfinder and how it works in my world. Why I'm am making these two articles I want to go through all of my articles and update them. That becouse I've grown a lot better at writing, and just clean them up and evolve them into better pieces than they are now. I expect this will take some time; I'd want to complete it in three months if I'm lucky, but it will be part of my long-term strategy for the year. Also, while I'm going through all of my old articles and producing the initial intro articles, I'll make a list of everything I'll need to generate for it to construct later. Finally, I like to redo the meta, intro to the world and my personal info, which till most likely be completed quickly and in February.

2. Tabletop RPG World Building

So I'd like to eventually run two games. I'll probably start the second one in February, but I already have one running. Masters and I want to construct a more solid universe in which each player can create their own characters and backgrounds in my world. Let my players come up with any type of items or spells and we make it work in our world as well. I also want to make it easy for them and myself to comprehend the subtle distinctions in how the classes and powers interact with the environment I've created. I'm going to copy all of the Pathfinder spells into my world, and I'm going to go through them carefully over the course of the year, modifying them to match the world better while simultaneously granting bonuses if player take it as natural magic, because everyone in my world has some magic. I've also modified some of the classes to better fit my universe, so I'd like to leave them with the ability to access the tiny modifications, even if they're only story changes. For example, I redesigned the witches such that they receive their powers from a metaverse beam and construct a book of shadows containing their spells, skills, and other items made by both the spirit and the witch. Instead of gaining a familiar with all of their spells, which sounded strange to me. So this will probably be a lifelong aim because I intend to run games indefinitely.

3. Story World Building

So this will be hard for me. I have technically written two to three chapters of my own story, however my friends in real life say I write in two perspectives, despite the fact that I am writing in first person. Since I'm writing a fantasy, they suggested I do it in third person to get the most out of it. However, I realized this while writing the story in November. I need to establish the place or loction, as well as some of the ideas, before I begin writing my novel since it will allow me to have better descriptors and thoughts about what might happen and what is going on. So I intend to figure out and stick to a writing style that suits me. Also, world create ahead of my plot and recognize that world building is part of creating the story, but don't go overboard and contract world building disease. It will also most likely choose a day of the week on which I will write for the story itself, or at least work on the world building if I have grease the part of my story where image in my head about something.

4. World Anvil Challenges

My goal is to take on every challenge that world anvil puts on. I'm also going to try to complete as many unofficial challenges as possible. I want to be push and be challenged by things I don't thought of or might think of but haven't had a reason to write them down. I also enjoy receiving prompts or questions about my world to answer. It offers me something to work on, and I believe that even if it is a challenge or a prompt, someone must have asked the question, which makes me want to respond. These also tend to make me right about articles or topics that I have a hard time writing about and I do like the challenge it just also I feel like I'm not able to articulate it enough. So bring on the Chanllenges

5. Reading Challenges

For this reading challenge, I'm aiming to complete Four articles from each category. I want to see new and intriguing things, as well as get perspective and ideas on how to write challenging topics. If I only focus on the difficult tasks, my brain will not return to them, so if I do all of them, I will end up with things I enjoy and want to do. As well as learning about stuff that I find difficult and hard to write about. Following this challenging experience, I intend to continue reading at least two to three articles per day. My idea is to have the auto reader the articles while I conduct some tasks. If I don't move my body while reading, my mind tends to overthink things, and I don't hear what the article is saying. So the next 23 sections will be enjoyable to read through. So only got 9 section moving annd ADHD got in way but love all I read up read more afther the move.

Item

Life's Gift by Kwyn Marie I enjoy how the history and lore convey what the spear does rather than just telling you outright. I also loved how they designed their page. I really need to created a style to make my stuff function. They also offer stunning artwork of the Spear.

Brelish Bowl by Dhelian This is a great article about a delicious sounding bowl, but it also illustrates a little bit about culture beliefs and the people who serve. i I enjoy cooking and need to move past the concept of cultural food. I'm frightened to write out recipes and cuisines for my world since I don't know who would have what based on their geographic area and the type of people they are. I already have a hard time with writing cultures, but I should just put food in and It will also give me the motivation to make new food to eat.

Sorcerer Staffs by Luna PawPaw I like how this individual developed a staff for a sorceress that will eventually absorb the sorcerer if it develops too much power. It is not a curse item; it is simply an item that will ultimately evolve into I live in the tree as a sorceress that core. This offers me ideas for making artifacts that appear to be cursed but are actually part of everyday life.

Aza'azor by Pandora9 This is an extremely cool sword! I love the magical properties described, and the writer does a wonderful job of exclaiming them. They also write on the past and what has happened to it. I also like the fact that it is missing, and that one individual who may know something is not telling anyone. Actually, what I gathered from this post was quite similar to how I write about artifacts or legendary weapons, but I appreciate how they executed the layout in their article. It makes me want to develop my own layout and figure out how to make it look amazing.

Myth

The Forgotten Hero: Liera of the Broken Tithe by thebookwormmila This is an intriguing narrative about a hero and the potential stories that surround her. Since I have a hard time with miss since I can basically make anything true, the fact that even history can be bent in a world full of magic undoubtedly inspires me to invent some myths about heroes.

Birth of Dragon Magic bySeraphRDM This is a excellent myth. I love that they have this historical story, but they don't know what's is myth and what is historically accurate, but they maintain it because it's a great story that the Dragons enjoy. This leads me to believe that even stories about active gods and goddesses can alter and be adjusted throughout time, just as rumors and stories can be changed by people retelling them. I need to remember that a few words can transform the entire story, even if it's told by the gods and goddesses.

Aerith: Daughter of the Earth and the Sky by Make lore not war This was a well-crafted myth that will tug at your heartstrings. This reminds me that not all stories have happy endings. wonderful tragedies can produce wonderful outcomes for World Building and story telling. I was pleased to read this one.

The Exiled Great Shaman by NevarrBlue It was a wonderful and straightforward story about the great shaman going into exile. Though it raises so many questions, it's feasible that further lore and myths will be constructed around this, such as who the great shaman was and what they did to become such a powerful shaman. This article got me see how one myth can serve as the foundation for many others.

Vehicle

Itsasloratza by Demongrey I love the idea of a sentient vessel since it gives us a distinct personality and unique abilities of what they can do. I also really like the style and appearance with this article. This gives me some ideas that maybe I should design some sentient type vessels, as well as some distinct forms of vessels and vehicles that will match the element or nature of in my world.

Bubble Shuttle by Deleyna This is a fantastic shuttle for a sci-fi setting; having a ship built of material that resembles a soap bubble is simply great. I believe it is an interesting work. I also like the fact that it is designed to be transparent, but it does have a mode that prevents it from being transparent for individuals who are afraid of heights or other anxieties. Reminded me that when I'm writing, I should keep in mind that all living beings have something they dread, and I should incorporate that into my writing.

The Skybreaker by Solmundurgg The skybreaker was a fascinating ship with some unique designs for its own world, and I loved the artwork that the artist created for it; it is a wonderful piece of art. This made me think about writing famous mounts and vehicles in my world. Legendary heroes, villains, and gods in our world have their own horses, so I surely need to design some legendary automobiles.

Nexus Ascendant by Piggie4299 I love that this is a futuristic arcane ship designed for an RPG game. I'd love and loathe being the player that has to take it down. And this article reminds me that it is acceptable to combine RPG aspects with world building and have fun with it.

Tradition

Sailor's Rest by AmazingChi This is a fantastic concept for conducting a funeral at sea. I like how they have variants for areas, species, and pirates. It makes me think I should make a few type of funerals for when the deceased are sent off at sea in my world.

Donorian Weddings by peaches2003 This is a wonderful wedding ceremony idea. the aricel have marriage crowns that can be passed down as family heirlooms. This also inspires me to write up various wedding jewelry symbols that can be passed down to family members.

Honey Nut Bacon by Moonlight Bard I enjoy reading food-related articles, particularly those with recipe i want to try. This article tells me that I need to introduce some cuisines into my world that do fit the areas for customs and holidays.

The apology of eggs by Loup Des Bois This is a quite fascinating article because it discusses the various ways eggs are utilized and seen as traditions, as well as the meanings behind them. It give the idea that I can make a Kingdom about something and be okay with it, and having multiple different things that relate to that one object isn't a terrible idea.

Condition

Dæmonic pact by Jaroslav.Harabkovsky This article I read, and it reminded me that my idea of manufacturing Condition and other magical diseases based on lore, legend, and my imagination is still a brilliant one. I really enjoyed reading about the demonic pack and how it's on and inflection and on to the individual, as well as you learn a little bit about the history of how edema is formed, which is basically an inflection on the soul.

Source Leak by Mossflakes This is an excellent idea. What happens when someone's source gets weakened? I love how returning from the dead saps your life power. This inspires me to invent new diseases based on the body's magical system.

Proboscis Goat Paranoia by Blue Fairy 74 This is an excellent article with valuable information. It made me think about the Japanese and how they prepare blowfish and other potentially deadly foods. I see that I to think about any if the species or animals I create in my world and can sentient life eat it and what would it do to them?

Touched by The Tinker by Revyera This is an excellent article , and I enjoy Fye legend. The lesion behind this is to create some fascinating and unique situations and consequences in my metaverse. People's reactions may have a reaction to being in a different realm.

Title

Monarch by Naelin This is a pretty interesting article, and the author explains a little bit about each kingdom and its monarch. It gives me the idea to go rework my king and queen title and change it to monarch, and then detail more of the different forms of monarchy they are, because in my world, they good handful of kingdoms that still have monarchs so too many to go over in one article.

Mr.E by Worldigirl This is an excellent piece about spy schools and the titles that their teachers use to keep their identities hidden. It demonstrates how you can have fun when writing titles for organizations and other entities.

Technology

Bloodsteel by Grimbjorn This is an interesting concept of an angry metal that just wants to battle. It gave me the idea to query the author about whether or not berserkers were in their world. And if they do are they became as a result of the Bloodsteal or prior to it. I'd like to think both did. This leads me to my notion for this article: a lot of stuff can be discovered in multiple ways like the berserkers could be in one part of the world already existed in another part of the world the bloodsteel was the reason they took on this fighting style.

Steam Engines by SpyGoo This is a fun article reads and I love that the author included both positive and negative uses of the engine. So technology and magic both can be used in the positive or negative way so it's always good to include some especially with the bigger ones. I also love that they technically had their people invented in a different terrain than I would have not thought off hand.

LightNet by GhoulPenguin This is an interesting twist on fast then light messaging. The author got me thinking that I should figure out some of the key ideas or technology I want for my society, develop them, and then see who would want to use them.

Symbiotic Prosthetics byElven Obsidian Dozer came up with an amazing article able to blend natural magic and science. They did an excellent job explaining how the symbiotic person with a who's the person has it becomes a prosthetic limb. Even coming up with designs on different plants that would help different jobs. This gets me thinking how to come up with unique and interesting ways to help support disability people in my world.

Species

Slime by Mochimanoban This was a nice article; I like how it illustrates a little bit of the culture of the slime. It makes me think about how other species, due to their physical or anatomical differences, might have different methods of doing things, which is a good thing to remember.

Wychmyr by BrowncoatGarrus This is a very cool article I love the fact that they gave them a unique way to reproduce and outline their history and personality quite well. This article gives me ideas on different pieces of how different pile functions as well as genetically modified creatures could have several different things.

Bloodleech by Kummer this was fun is an interesting article about a lich-vampire hybrid. It was a very enjoyable read. It provides me excellent ideas for hybrids other than creatures that I have created. You can use and blend Laura's legends and anything to create something fresh, amusing, and scary.

The Ukom Bear by FirethornDragon This is a cool article about hey bear that has poor eyesight the power to move earth, poor eye sight and the respective of the dwarves. This reminded me how you can give a unique ability and change up a animal and make it fit into your world.

Settlement

Sombra City by Dr.DracpRacov This is a fascinating piece about the city's lore and history. It makes me think of building small lores for cities. It also focuses on the night animals and their city. I meant to say that I would absolutely build and implement some decent towns or dwellings for my monsters.

Aeterna Regalis: The Eternal Capital by Crimsoncav This is a fantastic article ; it provides so much detail that you can see the architecture and landscape of the city. I really need to improve my descriptions of cities and other places. And it would be counterproductive to just include buildings and architects even if historical references were not fully established. these article make want to make city and be able show it.

Metaros by Toomanymagicitems This article does a good job of explaining how they ran and worked. I also made up a concise synopsis of the royal line. Give me the idea to include some important people in a brief overview of them.
