Lesser Deities

Lesser Deities

These Gods are embodied somewhere, and while they can at times create avatars of themselves, those are far less powerful then the avatars of Greater Deities, more on kin with a Titan or Demigod. They have power in a particular domain, and tend to have there own designs on how to shift the mortal worlds. There power tends to be dependent either on favor from Greater Deities, or worship from mortals. While the term Lesser Deity may be deceiving, as the only beings in existence more powerful are the Greater Deities. Their powers are both revered and feared. Shrines and Temples to these God's offer opportunities to draw their attention, which can either be a good thing or a bad thing depending on what they see. Divine vision is not limited by time, and they can see the past with extreme accuracy.

Many cults spring up in worship to Lupus, and erect small shrines for offering in the oddest of places. Lupus rewards those who make offers regularly. Lupus enjoys witnessing those who live for the hunt, and may use their divine power to assist in the whim takes them, and their attention is drawn, and the person in question in excellent standing with him. Child of a love affair between Aoura and Agethis, it was for a better future for the Her that Agethis went to Pentharion.

Gaia, The Forest Goddess
  • Domain: Nature
  • Life itself is the expression of Gaia, she loves life and Nature. She abhors the undead. If it where her choice life would abound everywhere, people and creatures would live in harmony. She understands the benefits of free will, but also despises those who bring harm to nature. She understands that death has a balance to life, but prefers to preserve innocent life as long as naturally possible. She suffers for the plucking of a weed, and rejoices for planting of a seed. It is her love of nature that spread life, forests and jungles into many planets and planes in the multiverse. It was her drive to take on Azar, the elemental lord that once ruled over Eldridth, that has turned our world into the shining example of life that it is.

Vashnar, God of the Dragons
  • Domain: Tempest
  • God of the sky, and Creator of the Dragons. Ally to Gaia in her battle against Azar, along side Phaestus his half brother. Vashnar kept the Fiery lord from escaping into the sky. Vashnar brought his dragons, resistant to fire to push back the flames of Azar. It is on Eldridth that Vashnar first brought his Dragons. But the Orcs hunted them to near extinction, and when none of the other gods acted, Vashnar pleaded with Aegis to save his Beloved Dragons. It was then that Aegis broke the world from one large land mass, and separated the Orcs from the rest of the world, and broke of a land mass for Vashnar. Vashnar was displeased with the lack of effort given from Gaia and Phaestus, and so abandoned the larger continent completely. The few that remain worshiping Vashnar in Aygess are those who are faithful in the full absence of their God, for he has not given any sign of care for them since the world was broken.

Clementis, The Weaver
  • Domain: Knowledge
  • Clementis is the one who weaved magic into the multiverse. The creation of Pentharion, Clementis was tasked with connecting all the worlds and planes together through the weave. Magic is entwined with everything, The natural laws of the universe are apart of the weave. It was through that task that Pentharion hoped to bring true agency to mortals, and allow them to shape the world that is made for them. Clementis loves mortals, of all backgrounds. They wove the magic through them, and in this has come to know much. Even Monsters are apart of his weave, to be apart of the multiverse now is to be sown into the universe. While Clementis does not think of themselves as the creator, they do have seen into the depths of all things, and created the magic that would drive and shape the world to its end. His quest for knowledge, while it would be never ending, is almost futile as any knowledge they would seek is at their finger tips, if it were not already known. It is now more a search for the questions that one would not think to ask. Those who Clementis has taken into their realm describe it as a endless library.

Aegis, God of War
  • Domain: War
  • Aegis respects the warrior, not the General. His power is strengthened by the act of combat, and so his power is great. He sides with the Light, but grows impatient and would rather an all out war against evil, then to hear anything more about the Balance of the Universe. Yet he knows his place, and would not dare disobey Pentharion. A vast majority of warriors offer their combat as worship in prayer before battle. In fact often in war, both sides would call upon Aegis to witness their heroism. He created the race of Goliath's from giants, and led them personally in the plane of endless War. It was not until he was called upon by Vastnar for help, that he ever cared about anything beyond building the greatest army in the multiverse. He came to Elderith like a comet, and broke the world into three landmasses. With him he brought Neraeons and a portion of his Goliaths. He had Neraeos take guard in the oceans, and prevent any who would pass that way between the lands he had separated, and it was Vastnar who patrolled the sky, doing just the same. Aegis's Goliaths stood guard upon the land of Aygess. Aegis himself remained to impart what knowledge he cared to share for a few generations, but eventually returned to his never ending war. Even though he has left, he has not forgotten our world, and keeps a watchful eye upon us.

  • Domain: Trickery
  • Velnurara is the Divine responsible for the dream realm. It is through the dreams of mortals that this realm exists, as mortal minds cast their dreams subconsciously. Aeon, The Great Light
  • Domain: Light
  • The God of light, once separated as an aspect of Pentharion, empowered as to allow Pentharion to let go, and accept the need for balance. Aeon embraced this role with absolute gusto. A focus on the Good, and in full opposition to Evil. Powerful, but unforgiving. Those who follow the tenets of Aeon see little grey in the World. For a very long time they worshiped Phaestus, but while they were his original focus, following the war against Azar, of which he played the essential role of imprisoning the elemental into the planets core. Time wore down on the Dwarves, and they cared more for family and comfort then worship or building, and Phaestus turned his attention elsewhere. The Dwarves that still had faith still were lost in the Reavers. While the knowledge of Phaestus has not faded from the minds of Eldridth, the worship mostly has.

Those who would not bend to his will, would be break them or discard their lives. Long ago, before Pentharion ousted the old ones, Maglubiyet enjoyed the old ways, and gained much fear. He destroyed entire bands of the other Divine, subjugating those who would kneel, and taking their follows and perverting their beliefs. He did this to the Goblinoid species.

Luthic, Dark Goddess of Fertility
  • Domain: Life
  • While Gruumsh is the external force that pushes the orcs to victory over their enemies, it is the influence of Luthic, his wife, that binds them together and makes the orcs internally cohesive. She is the force that keeps the explosive rage of Gruumish from bursting the orcs apart. If it was not for the followers of Luthic, it is possible that the race of orcs would be no more than small bands of warrior-nomads, scratching out a meager existence, rather than a force capable of great destruction.
