The Queendom of Thena

A centuries old Queendom, led by Queen Lillian. Originally founded by her in what was the small town of Thena the edge of dangerous woods. Today that city is one of the largest in the world, and the forests that surround it are mostly safe, at least until the town of Queenhaven.
Situated in the northwest just before the Klendev mountains that separate the frozen north from the rest of Aygess. The Queendom a territories stretch down to the farming peninsula of Habury. There are a few mines stretched along the mountains to the north. To patrol the wilderness the Queen appoints Marshals, and to govern towns and villages the Queen appoints Dukes, Earls, or Barons.

Territories

The territory of Thena runs from within the Klendev mountains in the north, down to the Habury peninsula and the Spring mountains in the south and from the ocean in the west, and the city of Wrinhum in the north east of Brookewood forest. While they claim rullership over Brookewood, it is not patrolled by its military, but also not claimed by any other nation. The elven Tribe of Lulshoima inhabits this forest, though they migrate through the woods.

Military

A great military inhabits the land, well trained and equipped, and equally well fed and paid. Led by three grand generals, and several Marshels. It is currently focused within the City, and refortifying the northern Fort Portcep, and preparing Norstal Castle for what the Queen believes will be a coming war with Orcs.

Agriculture & Industry

Once a large mining operation in the north west, but recent developments have prevented continued operation of the mine. The Queendom has many stores of the precious metals, but must retake the mines if it hopes to maintain its standard exports for long.
Large Fruit Orchards, and Farms scattered amongst the forests of the Queendom produce enough food for the nation, as well as an excess that is able to be exported.
A hunters guild hunts plenty of food for meat, and supplies it to the towns as well as to the City of Thena. Salt is too precious in Thena to export meat in any fashion.
The city is full of trades guilds and manufacturers.

Trade & Transport

The city of Queenhaven serves as a corner stone to the trade between the two other kingdoms neaighboring Thena. Goods are shipped from there down the river into Thena City.

Education

There is no public education system, though through charitable acts of the Queen, almost all the subjects can read and write, as roaming language tutors funded by the queen travel about the nation teaching those who wish to read and write common.

A small village marking the end of of a mountain trail leading to the icy north. Mostly a town meant for resting after or before the long journy. A caravan passes along this path, guiding travelers with both experts and guards, as this mountain range is also known to be home to criminal factions.
