GHG Session 41: In the Eye of the Ownka
General Summary
Month 1, Week 1, Year 919
Fully rested and with a game plan in place, the Fortunate Five began their assault of Ownka's jungle fortress in the early hours of Saturday morning. Under the cover of darkness and magic, the party sneaked up to the edge of the fort's prison camp and quickly bypassed the gates: Ys flew in raven-form up to the top, Reetma raced up the wall with his monk shit, and an apelike Windred safely ferried Zan'kiri and Xa'kara up to the top. On this side of the wall there was only one lizardfolk at the watchtower, but despite his sturdy appearance he was quickly eviscerated by the adventurers a mere hour and 57 minutes before his session at the orgy pit. A couple of weaker-looking lizardfolk were spotted on the opposite side of the prison walls and promptly snuffed out, giving the party time to scope out the best path to take for their invasion. They agreed to continue onto the ziggurat at the fort's center, sneaking around the edges of the wall to sneak in from the back. A dense fog enveloped the ziggurat, its black stonework carved with ominous warnings of death and destruction wrought by Gruumsh's followers. The party leaped onto the ziggurat's topmost level without issue, save for the fact that Beguiler disappeared sometime during the mission. Finally they found themselves face-to-face with the woman they'd been hunting down for the past month: Ownka Ramm. Flanked by her most trusted lizardfolk Log and a powerful cleric, Ownka saw the FF as an offering to Gruumsh and proceeded to nearly murder Windred with a couple of blows from her longsword. Windred managed to recover, racing away from the front lines of combat to turn the orc's jet-black armor into a molten-hot magma. The battle quickly spread out in all directions, Xa'kara battling the cleric in the center of the altarplace while Reetma and Bubbles fended off the waves of lizardfolk racing up the ziggurat's steps. Zan'kiri played interference with Ownka with his mind-warping spells, dismayed to see her resist the debilitating effects several times in a row. But the party managed to pin down Ownka and whittle away at her health, assisted by some clown-like abomination as a parting gift from Beguiler. The mouse was still nowhere in sight, but it sounded like something gargantuan was tearing apart the camp outside the ziggurat...
