Celestine (Cell-uh-stine)

The Aspect of Magic

"While many amongst the scholars of Earedar view Celestine's Law as a travesty, limiting the knowledge of the Elder Races, they have forgotten the mystical power of those realms, and the creatures within. It is only Celestine's Law that prevents another Infernal Crusade, as these realms are not for men."
Vairor Dremora
Travels Amongst the Realms

The youngest of the Divines, Celestine was born during the The Time of Creation to Iskarne and Xultar. Celestine joined her mother and siblings against her father and Ravenna in the War of the Divines. After her father was defeated and her parents fell, Celestine joined her siblings in their home of Orobeus as her brother Vraekar was crowned the Lord of Creation.
As the Dawn Age began, Celestine watched as each of her siblings gave great gifts to their parents creation, making their mark upon the echoes of creation. When it came time for Celestine to etch her mark upon creation, she was overcome with wonder and awe. Determined to create something just as wonderous, she tore out a piece of he rdivine spark and set it ablaze upon the universe, allowing magic to flow through the realms. This event is known as Celestine's Gift, and it is this gift of magic to the Elder Races that gives each of them their own divine spark, their own piece of divinity. It is because of this action that every being native to Earedar has an inherent magical power.
After this, Celestine was content to assist her siblings with their efforts, until the Chaos Wars. After her brother Charon fell, she fought fiercely against Khazmijir and his Primordials, and it was ultimately her realization that with Charon gone none of the combatants could die that led Vraekar to imprison the primordials within El' Shanayah.
While Celestine was distraught at the disappearance of her brother, she refused to let it hinder her efforts, and during The Golden Age Celestine attempted to take up the role of the arbitrator of death in his absence. While she was able to create arcane ghosts after a fashion, she could not mimic death, and it was quickly apparent that she had failed. When she returned to Orobeus and found her sisters Arishanne and Ravenna had laid with their brother Vraekar, she was disgusted. She declared it was not their way, and that they must forge their own partners, as their mother had. Despite his many advances she refused Vraekar each time, and thus was the only one of her sisters not to bear children to Vraekar or anyone else. When each of the iblings began creating their own races, it was Celestine that created humanity as one of the Elder Races, beings of both light and shadow, order and chaos.
At the beginning of the period known as The Godswar Celestine devoted herself wholeheartedly to the restoration of her brother Charon. When Ravenna returned from her expedition beyond the Nether Abyss and murdered Vraekar however, she was abhorred. As she watched her sisters raise massive hosts against each other, she could not bring herself to take up arms against Ravenna, and fled Orobeus as the Godswar raged. She would not return against for many years.
It was the untold destruction of the Infernal Crusade and it threatening to tear apart the very fabric of the Known Realms. As she came upon the scene she cast out Belros Azul and his forces, and created strong barriers between each of the Inner Realms, thus enacting Celestine's Law, preventing the denizens of the Inner Realms from teleporting long distances within them and creating portals and gates between them. With the forces of The Shadow pushed back and the Inner Realms saved, Celestine retreated against from view, although there are tales told of her search for the long-lost realm of Orobeus.
