Camp Dovus

The newly created Camp Dovus stands as a new front line against the ork threat. Though small, this camp acts as an outpost to monitor and suppress the ork presence within Grand-Blitzaz.  Dovus is the first of many planned outposts set to repress ork activity, and as such its continued operation and success is crucial for the military push to strike back.

On the Offense

While camp Dovus was initially built as a scouting outpost, it's purpose has mutated into something far more offensive. Attacks have been launched on several ork raiding parties before they were able to reach their destinations, and areas of the desert have been rigged with AT mines and other IED's to weaken their opponents at every move. The camps current acting leader, Commissar Ishvel Thovus, has been gathering a full offensive force to launch an assault against Grand-Blitzaz Wal directly, though at present the camps capabilities to launch this offensive have been hobbled by the lack of reliable desert transports, armoured or no. Still, with the soldiers of camp Dovus on lookout, no ork raiding party has managed to leave the Trolus Desert in weeks.

Desert Survival

In order to survive within the empty planes of the Trolus Desert, monthly shipments of food, water, and other necessities are shipped in via caravan. These caravans are heavily defended due to how crucial their continued function is, and because of this, ork attacks have been growing in number whenever the caravan rolls in.  Alongside the transport of goods, this caravan is also used to rotate in new soldiers as needed while evacuating any who have become unwell or injured. With no capable field hospital the mortality rate at camp Dovus is high, meaning that anywhere up to a dozen new soldiers need to be shipped in each month.

Solar Flagellation

With the new occupation of the Trolus Desert, an unusual new form of prayer ha sbeen undertaken by the local priesthood. Walking the desert sands for hours unclothed, these "Pennants of Solar Flame" scorch themselves under the suns harsh rays, sometimes even going as far as to "bathe" in the sands at midday.  With the priesthood having taken partial occupation of the camp, many of their members have been enlisted to act against the orks. While the Commissar has made all efforts to keep these priests in line (or so he says) many of them are lost charging into the heart of ork patrol groups.
