Empire of Dwarovar

The Empire of Dwarovar was one of the largest and most ancient nations of Dali'en. It was formed by the Dwarves who escaped the Surface and found safety within the Caverns of Dwarovar which they soon conquered. During their time they ruled the entirety of it and have built the Dwarvish Holds, most of which still stand today.

Structure

The Empire of Dwarovar was a federation of the Dwarvish Holds. Each settlement had a High Dwarf ruling it; and the Dawa Aul, the leader of the nation was selected from them. This very structure of government formed the pillars of dali society and still stands today, deeply rooted in our view of hierarchy, whereby the settlements are ruled as their own units, and the nations are merely their union / federation.

History

Its history defined an entire age of our world that lasted for around 5000 years. Life was slow and grandiose, masterworks and attention to detail was put onto everything they made or built. Some say the Smiths of today still can not compare with the Smiths of the empire. They had a fascination with Gold, and they also invented Beer, just to name one of their many achievements.

Disbandment

They say that they dug too deep in Brovahold, which the opening of the Underdark followed - an earthquake that could be felt even down in Réskehold. The Green Horde then decimated one hold after another, eventually causing the empire to shatter. Although many pieces of it have remained together, forming new nations of their own.

Military

They did not have a military, and did not need one either. It was the Dwarvish Holds that defended themselves and no Dwarf was able to conquer them at the time.
