Dwarf (dwɔːf)
Dwarves started and wrote the beginning chapters of history. They might not be the oldest species, but they were certainly the ones that built the foundations of our civilization. They have escaped the Surface; arrived in, and dug out most of the Caverns of Dwarovar; and have built the first livable settlements in there.
Basic Information
Biological Traits
Each dwarf falls into one of the subspecies of dwarves, which are:
- Hill Dwarf - they most closely resemble the original dwarves. Their bodies are larger than usual, not the most suitable for life inside the mountains. They are rather rare, but still haven't gone extinct
- Mountain Dwarf - dwarves whose bodies have adapted to their life inside the mountains. Their bodies are smaller, but sturdier, optimized for digging and cavern life
- Duergar - some dwarves have ventured into the Underdark, their skin has darkened due to prolonged exposure to the Underdark's Night Leaf
Dietary Needs and Habits
Omnivore. Their stomachs can also tolerate and survive most poisons - including copious amounts alcohol.
