Elf (ɛlf)
Elves are an ancient species, that evolved from the Underdark dwelling Alelves, their main mutation being that they grew eyes. Their bodies run constantly thus they cannot be put to sleep, however their minds aren't always able to keep up, so they need to pay attention to regularly meditate - to avoid exhaustion or death. Elves are able to dream in their meditative state - which they usually do due to boredom. This makes it so that to an outsider they look exactly like someone sleeping.

Biological Traits
Each elf falls into one of the subspecies of elves, which are:
- Drow - the oldest elf species, their skin has darkened due to prolonged exposure to the Underdark's Night Leaf
- High Elf - the second oldest elf species, the oldest found above the Underdark. Their skin is yellowish, purpleish, or blueish
- Wood Elf - the newest elf species, they are the first type of elf that has grown up in a natural habitat (artificially planted or not). They first emerged right around the time when wood as a valuable resource was discovered, hence their name. The coloring of their skin is very subtle, it's much more Human-like, which makes them difficult to differentiate from Half Elves
Dietary Needs and Habits
Omnivore, but their bodies can't digest too much meat at once without throwing it back, so most elves resort to vegetarianism.
