Damvahold (dɒmvɒhəʊld)
The first Dwarvish Hold - Damvahold has a rich history of Beer, and entertainment. It's full of breweries, ancient tunnels, and historical architecture. However it also constantly smells like booze.
You're not even a competitor - you have no presence in Damvahold.
Demographics
The settlement pretty much has its own culture of chasing fame, and entertainment. The locals are also unusually kind to the drunk and / or unfortunate and help them enjoy life. They say any Bard worth anything has been to Damvahold at least once.
More than half of the dali found here are not even citizen, but tourists and visitors that came to get wicked drunk.
Government
Districts
The entire settlement is one large labyrinth of an entertainment district. You couldn't tell the palace apart from some of the larger breweries and concert halls.
Guilds and Factions
Brewing guilds estimate that roughly 30% of their total income comes from Damvahold alone, so pretty much all of them can be found in here in one form or another. The settlement also has a few colleges of Bards, it's pretty much where one can get started to become one of the greats.
History
One of , in fact it was the first ever Dwarvish Hold built, but has lost it's status as Empire of Dwarovar's capital over time. It was the capital of Damva Refuge after the collapse of the empire, and has become the capital of Damvahold post rebellion.
The settlement then became part of Violet Throne who introduced Underdali culture to it, yet it hasn't changed the essence of the hold - apart from a few more killings here and there.
Mizzrimus conquering the settlement still hasn't changed its culture - apart from a few more magical displays here and there.
Points of interest
The many Bard colleges, and breweries. One could spend two lifetimes here and still find more places to entertain them.
