Crescent City

Crescent City, California, is far from what it is in our real world. Crescent City in the World of Darkness in one corrupted by the presence of Kindred. Shortly after the initial explorers found Crescent City, a Coterie of Elders from The Camarilla moved to the region. Their plan was to establish it as another great Camarilla Stronghold. Using their power and influence, they oversaw the founding of the city, and its rapid expansion.
The city was naturally a beacon of hope for Mortals seeking their riches. First in the Gold, then the logging industry and factories. The city developed several means of exporting their goods, via their massive and secure Port Maxwell, their commercial Airport, and well-connected Train Station. Due to this, mortals flocked to the city as it grew. Crescent City pushed its Expansion North and East, until the Werewolves in the nearby woods put their foot down and ended the Eastern expansion. The Expansion to the North merged Crescent City with the small town of Fort Dick and continued expanding northward. The Further North you go, the worse off the city appears. The Poor and abandoned live further North, whereas the wealthy and well-off live in the southern half closer to Downtown. Modern Day Crescent City is a metropolis that rivals even the size of Los Angeles with a population of roughly 13.75 million people. The Kindred Population is a little more difficult to track, but it is estimated to be roughly 8,000 to 10,000 individuals.
The Current Prince of Crescent City is Prince Serafina Ostrogski of Clan Tremere. Serafina seized Praxis a few years ago from a weak Ancillae Ventrue Prince, who was steering the city to follow The Camarilla’s lead. They rejected The Anarchs and wanted to destroy any that was found near his city. Serafina and her Coterie, The New Haven Initiative, have a much different vision of how The Camarilla should move into the future.
Upon seizing Praxis, Serafina appointed the Ventrue Madame Eleanora as her Seneschal. She also immediately declared that The Camarilla of Crescent City and The Anarchs of Fort Dick were forming a new Alliance, rallying both sects under a single flag once again. The Prince declared that she will not lead the city into the ways of the past, but will lead it into the future and will adapt with the times. Serafina declared that Baron Vincent Dane of the For Dick Anarchs would lead the city beside her, retaining his title of Baron. In doing so, Serafina secured all of Crescent City and Fort Dick as her Domain as Praxis Holder.
Unfortunately, this surprising alliance drew the attention of both the Higher-Ups among The Camarilla and other Anarchs in the region. As a result, a large coterie of Anarchs named The Freedom Fighters arrived in Crescent City, led by Baron Omar Espinoza of Clan Gangrel. The Freedom Fighters established the northern most parts of the city as their domain before Baron Omar presented the heads of the Prince’s oldest Ghouls to her and the Primogen Council as a formal declaration of war, since they refused to submit and leave the city
This led to a pair of Archons from The Camarilla known as the Shadow Council being sent to Crescent City to observe the situation. According to their station and their intent to remain within the city for a prolonged period of time, the Prince granted them Domain over the Cultural District. Few outside the members of Praxis tend to see the Archons at events such as Primogen Council Meetings.
